Feds should back PBO, not fight him

Parliamentary budget officer Kevin Page's action of taking the federal government to court shouldn't have to happen. But Page felt it was the only way to obtain the information he says he needs in order to properly do his job of reviewing how government is spending taxpayers' money.

A united front?

That's a shame. It most likely would have been beneficial to have the prime minister taking part in the discussions. But even without Harper, it's still an opportunity for the premiers to have a productive meeting - as long as they don't allow differences to get in the way.

Receptive to the message?

Just about every month seems to be some sort of awareness month, and November is especially busy in that regard. This month, it's Diabetes Awareness Month, Osteoporosis Month, CPR Awareness Month, Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Month and also Movember, named for the moustache-growing campaign to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer.
