MR. ERVIN (ERV) THEODORE FARKAS, beloved husband of Donna T. Farkas, passed away suddenly at St. Michael’s Health Centre, Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the age of 74 years.
He was the loving and devoted father of Ervin Lynn Farkas of Lethbridge and Deborah Marie (Henry) England of New London, Wisconsin, USA; two grandkids (both the apple of his eye), Amber Marie Chubb of Calgary, AB., and Cory William Farkas of Lethbridge.

He loved to travel and was fortunate to see many parts of Canada particularly enjoying his years on the Kingston Peninsula in New Brunswick. He had a never-ending ability to fix things big or small. Erv’s unique sense of humour and his quick wit was with him to the end. He touched us all and our time with him will be forever in our memories.
We want to say “Thank You” to all the staff at St. Michael’s Care Centre and a special recognition for Sister Ivy and Sister Caroline…Erv looked forward to your daily visits.

LEACOCK
ELVIN WARNER LEACOCK was called home May 29th, 2012. He leaves behind his wife Sarah Francis of 30 years. In the 30 years of being and sharing their lives together, they brought up 8 boys. Norman & his wife, Randy (Carolyn), Brian (Monica) & children, John (Jennifer) & children, Jason (Rochelle) & children; his stepsons: Mike Francis, Aaron Abraham (Lisa) & children, Silas Abraham (Sonya) & children. Michael & Charlene Francis were special in his life as he raised them from babies. Adopted sons Nathan Wells and Troy Eagle Tail Feathers, who were much a part of our life.
20 years ago, Elvin brought his wife and family to reside in Cardston. He was a Jack of all trades sorta man. But carpentry was what he loved most. He loved building things. In his pass time he also loved fishing. Elvin worked with the Town of Cardston for years and made many friends, young and old. His favorite friend was a young man whose name was James Woolford, he called him his adopted son. He took great joy in his job, especially “watering the flowers.” He took pride in his flowers. Elvin was a very private man-quiet man. He had many friends but only a few knew him well. Tom Olsen & Red Roe were called his brothers. But 4 years ago Elvin suffered a heart attack that slowed him down. He no longer was able to work for the town, but he kept his spirits up by staying home and being a good dad & grandpa to the children whom he loved and doated on him. He was a precious man. Loved by many and will be sadly missed by all his family and by his many friends.
“Papa” we love and miss you. You will forever live in our hearts.
The Memorial Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston, Alberta on Friday, June 8th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
