Carol passed peacefully in her home December 1st 2012, at the age of 63.
She was born December 16. 1948. Raised in Taber Alberta.
Carol is survived by her Husband Eric Thomas Bidmead Sr, her Children - Eric Thomas Jr. Bidmead (Leah) of Cranbrook BC, and Christopher Lee Bidmead (Kim) of Leduc. Carol’s grand children - Jayden, Noah, Kali, Emily and Kieran.
Carol was predeceased by (Mother) Annie Ceceila Jensen (Cassidy) and (Father) James Elvin Jensen, (Brother) Anthony Wayne Jensen.

September 23, 1920 – November 30, 2012
Early in the morning of November 30, 2012, at the age of 92, Avis peacefully passed over to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and a joyous reunion with her daughter.
Her last years in Lethbridge were blessed with her niece Diane’s love and nurturing. Avis leaves behind her son-in-law Richard Jensen; her niece Diane Meszaros; her two grandchildren Dean Jensen & Michelle Lukas; and her five great-grandchildren, Jennalee, Braydon, Rieley, Emrey, Hadley; and brother George Kermack. Avis was predeceased by her daughter Sandra Jensen, parents William and Margaret Kermack, sister Margaret King and baby brother Ian Kermack.

DARLEEN FRANCIS WOOLFORD (KUNZ, BRENTON)
Born December 23rd, 1938 in Cardston, Alberta
Following a brave battle with cancer, Darleen passed away peacefully at Lee Crest Manor on December 1st, 2012 with her boys at her side.
Darleen was a natural mother to 5 Kunz boys: Marty (Lucille), Clayton, Todd (Francis), Darren (Cindy), & Doran (Darla), and an adopted mother to Charlie (Hazel) Woolford and Wendy (Butch) Egeland. She is also survived by her twin sister Colleen Kunz. Darleen was predeceased by her husband, Hank (Henry) Woolford and brother Frank Benton. Her motherly love was not limited to direct family as she mothered all those who she met, from infants to the most elderly. Darleen will be remembered as a patient, loving, caring and gentle mentor to all whom had the pleasure of enjoying life with her. Among her numerous accomplishments include: a Life Member of the Royal Purple of Canada, gardening awards, Air Canada Heart of Gold Award, Cardston Citizen of the Year (1996), Alberta Centennial Medal (2005), and the Canadian Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012). Her service to community is only surpassed by the size of her heart and compassion for her fellow man.
A Celebration of her amazing life will be held at the South Hill Chapel, Cardston, Alberta on Thursday, December 6th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Good Samaritan Society of Cardston in recognition of the wonderful care and dedicated compassion they bestowed upon Darleen in her final months.

KENNETH ALLEN ENANDER of Lethbridge passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the age of 65 years.

HIGA, Yoshiko
June 10, 1919 – November 30, 2012
Yoshiko Higa passed away peacefully at Cedars Villa Extendicare on November 30th, 2012 at the age of 93. It is a comfort to know that Mom will be with her husband, George Y. Higa, who passed on January 2, 1999 and son, Yoshiro Barney, deceased on December 12, 1948.
Yoshiko Kohashigawa was born in Victoria, BC and spent her childhood with her Grandmother Nagata in Okinawa, Japan. At the age of nine, Yoshiko returned to Canada to be with her family.
George and Yoshiko married in 1938 and had six children. She was a devoted wife and mother, and was selfless in her energy and resources to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a role model to all her family and will be dearly missed.
On their retirement in Lethbridge, they enjoyed golfing and bowling together. Yoshiko was a gifted cook and baker, enjoyed crocheting and embroidery work. She was an avid curling fan for George, the children and grandchildren. After moving to Calgary, Yoshiko enjoyed the friendship and activities at Kotobuki Seniors' Club.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Lorraine McNeill (Bill), Ron, Glenn (Diane), Marjorie Fujino, and Tom (Janice), grandchildren: Dianne, Darryl (Pepsi), Richard (Jenny), Rhonda (Ian), Jennifer (Jeff), Allison, Allysia, Justin (Jennine) and Angela (Mark), and great grandchildren: Sam, Lauren, Natasha, Megan and Avery. She will be deeply missed by her Kogawa siblings: David, Lily Ohara (Mori), Gordon (Lillian), Eddy, George (Jean), her wonderful Higa and Kogawa extended family and friends.

Isabel was predeceased by her parents Alec and Elizabeth Gyorfi, brothers Bernard (Elsie) Gyorfi and Alec Jr. Gyorfi.

September 19, 1962 – November 23, 2012
Robert Sheldon Mills passed away while on vacation in Bonaire on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the age of 50 years.
Rob was born on September 19, 1962 in North Battleford, SK to Wendell & Lynda Mills. A short time later, he was able to take on the title of “Big Brother” when his sister Deb arrived. He grew up in both Lethbridge and Pincher Creek, graduating with the Class of 1980 Matthew Halton Community School. Rob worked at Coca Cola for almost thirty years starting as a swamper, to his final position as the Calgary Service Supervisor. He was very proud that his family was a part of the Soft Drink Industry since the early 1900’s. Rob met his true soul mate September and was married in July 1998. In 1999, they were introduced to the amazing adventures of diving. This love of travel and diving took Rob & September all over the world. Some of the most exciting places they visited were the Red Sea, Egypt, Cuba, Turks & Caicos, Belize, Costa Rica, Cocos Island, Paris, France, Cayman Island, Jamaica, New York City, and Vancouver Island. Rob & September‘s dive group have the distinction of being the first ever night divers in Antarctica, March 2012. Rob is survived by his soul mate September and his furry boys Teddy and Hudson; his girls; Katelynn and Ashley from his first marriage. Teresa was predeceased by her loving husband, Eiver, her first son Joseph, and her parents Thomas and Madeline McCarthy. Her parents had immigrated to Canada from County Limerick, Ireland.

TAMAKO KUBOTA
1914 – 2012
With great sadness the Kubota family announces the peaceful passing of their loving matriarch on November 22, 2012 in Lethbridge.
Tamako was predeceased by her husband T. Kubota and her son Ronald. She will be dearly missed by her sons: James, Edward, Richard and daughter Edna, and their families.
Tamako was born in Japan in 1914. While she was teaching in Japan she met Takayuki Kubota, a long time Southern Alberta farmer who was visiting his brother. Tamako and T. Kubota were married in Japan and came to Canada in 1962. They enjoyed many fulfilling functions with family and friends and attending the Japanese United church serving in various capacities. Every year they planted and maintained a huge garden which gave them great satisfaction. Tamako excelled in Art and spent many years teaching calligraphy to dedicated students.
The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to all the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Therese Villa and the Chinook Regional Hospital for their dedicated love and exceptional care to our mother.

YAMAGISHI, KARYN PAIGE KIYOMI
August 1, 1983 – November 29, 2012
Karyn Yamagishi was born on August 1, 1983 in Lethbridge, Alberta.
She suffered from chronic pain for over ten years, with medical complications leading to her unexpected death on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the age of 29.
Karyn will be sadly missed by her parents, Lloyd and Rochelle; her siblings, Steve Rohr, Kristin (Chris) Yarish, and Kyle (Valerie Tom-Kun) Yamagishi, their children Jaxson and Juliette; as well as aunts, Marjory (Kaz) Tomomitsu of Lethbridge, Irene (Paul) Rohrer of Aldergrove, BC, Bev (Dave) Foy of Calgary, Robin (Tom) Tamura of Victoria; uncles, Bill Nishijima (Jane) of Toronto, Kiyo Nishijima (Toki) of Lethbridge, Don Yamagishi (Maureen) of Red Deer, Rick Yamagishi (Terri) of Lethbridge, Brent Sato (Carla) of Calgary, Trevor Sato (Rhonda) of Canmore and Ryan Sato (Sandy) of Edmonton; twenty cousins and nine second cousins. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Yajiro Yamagishi; grandparents, Frank and Faith Sato; uncle Richard Nishijima; cousin Naomi Nishijima; and aunt Mary Fujii.
Karyn attended the French Immersion program at Agnes Davidson Elementary School, Gilbert Paterson Junior High, Lethbridge Collegiate Institute, and the University of Lethbridge. Her first public vocal solo with a family group at church at age 3, led to vocal lessons and numerous solos at the Kiwanis Musical Festival. She sang in choirs at First Baptist Church and all of the schools she attended. With the LCI Chamber Choir, she travelled to Europe and Japan and, with the U of L Singers, to Ireland. In the summer of 2010, she and her mother took an Arctic cruise and photography workshop.
Unable to pursue a career in singing due to chronic pain, Karyn moved to Calgary in 2007, along with Chico, her special pet and constant companion, whom she trained well, and who gave unconditional love and support. They moved to a condo near her parents, and the Chronic Pain Clinic. Special thanks to Dr. Ian Clarke, Dr. James Currie, Dr. John Jarrell, and Dr. Anne Mahoney.
Despite many health concerns, Karyn took a special interest in the plight of the homeless, especially after serving on a church youth ministry team. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mustard Seed, 102-11 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB, T2G 0X8 Tel: 403-269-1319.
