BANKONIN
MARGA BANKONIN, beloved wife of Alex Bankonin of Coaldale, passed away at home on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the age of 77 years.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her daughters: Carmen Bankonin and Christine Bankonin; and brother Gunther Hesse of Germany. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Andreas Bankonin, her mother Else Hesse and stepfather Arthur Podletski.
Marga was born and raised in Vienenburg, Germany and met Alex at the age of 15. In 1956, she immigrated to Canada to marry Alex, and a few years later, they started their own farm in Raymond, Alberta. In 1962 they moved to Coaldale, purchased land, and farmed there. This is where they resided until 2011, at which point they retired from farming and moved into the town of Coaldale. Marga’s family was close to her heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Viewing will be held at 10:00 A.M. on October 29, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 29, 2012 at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB.
A private family interment will occur following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Foundation.

Ollie was born in Faith, AB in 1911.
She is survived by two daughters, two sons, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Ollie was predeceased by her husband Rene, one daughter, three sisters, one brother, one great granddaughter and great grandson.

1925 - 2012
Helen Peleskey, beloved wife of the late Elles Peleskey, passed away in
Taber following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family on Friday,
October 19, 2012 at the age of 87 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland
Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, October 25, 2012
between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue,
Taber on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Sandra Riddell
officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden. Condolences may

Helen is survived by five children and their families, Elles (Linda)
Peleskey of Prince George, British Columbia and children James (Marisa) and
Amy (Pat); John (Cheryl) Peleskey of Taber and children Jordan (Michelle),
Jarred (Andrea), Landon (Stacey), Layne (Sherry) and Jody (Mike); Frank
(Vicki) Peleskey of Taber and children Bernadette, Jennifer (Darren) and
Darren (Stacy); Mary (Richard) Valgardson of Taber and children Gerry
(Diane), Janet (Marty) and Julia (Gabriel); Irene (Vaughn) Caldwell of
Lethbridge and children James (Zehara) and Mitch. Helen is also survived by
numerous great grandchildren, three sisters in Hungary, numerous nieces and
nephews and by her dear friend Barbara Babranyi.
She was predeceased by her husband Elles, her parents, two brothers and two
sisters.
Helen was born in Pap Saboc, Hungary on March 5, 1925 to Julia and Louis
Kovacs. She immigrated to Canada in 1938 at the age of thirteen and in 1942,
married Elles Peleskey.
Helen loved to bake, enjoyed gardening and visits with family and friends.
She loved traveling and going to casinos, especially to Las Vegas with her
daughters. She was well known for her “Angel Wings” and her homemade soups.

MRS. CHARLOTTE PELLETIER of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Henri Francis Pelletier, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the age of 93 years.
Charlotte is survived by her son Barry (Judith) Pelletier and granddaughter Adrienne Smith and grandson Robbie Robertson. She was predeceased by her daughter Antoinette Smith, infant daughter Charleen; parents Jesse and Juleanna Barry; sister Josephine (William) Lang; brothers Charles and John Barry.
Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

REGIER
RON REGIER, beloved husband of Cheryl Regier of 22 years, of Coaldale, passed away suddenly on October 19th, 2012 at the age of 56 years.
Besides his loving wife Cheryl, he is survived by his mom Elsie Regier and his mother in law Karen Trainor of Creston, B.C. Ron is also survived by his siblings; Joyce (John) Vermeer, Shirley (David) Wiens, Marilyn (Bruce) Beaton, David Regier, and Art Regier.
Also surviving Ron are his sister in law Lynn (Jerry) Ooms, and special niece Samantha, brother in law Kevin Bonderove, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was predeceased by his father William “Bill” Regier.
Ron started his career working for his dad at Bills Electric and later became a part owner with his two brothers David and Art. Ron’s career took him to the city of Lethbridge Electrical Department and most recently to the Lethbridge College as an electrical instructor. After a long career, Ron achieved his lifelong goal of retiring at age 55.
A Celebration of Life will be held at PARK MEADOWS BAPTIST CHURCH, 2011-15th Avenue North, Lethbridge, Alberta on Wednesday, October 24th, 2012 at 1:00 P.M.
