Cindy (nee Bartosek) Skretting
May 21 1956 - July 26 2012
Beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away suddenly
in Lethbridge at the age of 56.
She leaves behind her husband Lesley Skretting of Enchant and their four
children she loved so much. Her daughter Karlene and three sons Logan,
Landon and Clayson Skretting.
She is also survived by her parents Steve and Arlene Bartosek, her sister
Pauline (Mo) Rusling and two nieces Shauna (Craig) Johns and Jaclyn (Steve)
Hartwick.
Cindy was born in Raymond and moved to Lethbridge at a young age with her
family. Growing up in Lethbridge she was involved in synchronized swimming
and also took interest in high school politics.
Her first true love was flowers. After graduating from Lethbridge Collegiate
Institute, Cindy went to Olds College to further develop her talents. Her
travels even took her to Holland to further her studies.
Cindy¹s passion in life was working with flowers and creatively expressing
herself. She had a good eye and took pride in always doing her best work. So
much so, she won recognition for her floral designs and window displays.
Cindy was known for her kind heart, her willingness to always go the extra
mile, and the never-ending sacrifices that she made for those around her.
She had a contagious personality and laugh, and was one of those people that
made you feel at ease and comfortable. You wanted her around, you wanted to
keep her in your life, and her large group of friends is a testament to
that.
Cindy¹s most favourite memories included the time she spent with her close
family and many dear friends. Whether it was a special occasion, crossing
paths at the mall, or a long telephone conversation, Cindy always left those
around her with a smile.
She was her children¹s biggest fan in all aspects of life, not just athletic
pursuits. From the start she was there for everything they were part of, and
often went out of her way to make an average event something memorable.
Friends are invited to meet the family on Tuesday July 31, 2012 between 7
and 8 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS funeral home, 703 13th Street
North.
A Memorial Service celebrating Cindy¹s life will be held at 11 a.m. on
Wednesday August 1, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,
FAIRMOUNT CHAPEL, 205 Fairmount Blvd S.
A private burial will follow at Temple Hill Cemetery in Raymond.

LYNN
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of JOE at the
age of 56 years, who passed away peacefully at home with his loving family
by his side on July 30th, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted
wife of 31 years, Michelle, his loving children, Chelsea (Bryan) Pytak,
Randi (Cory) Belcourt and Derrick (Kayla) Lynn; the two greatest joys of his
life, his grandchildren Summer Belcourt and Evan Pytak. He is also survived
by his siblings Keith (Frida) Lynn, Colleen Eisler and Betty (Al) Woelk; his
mother-in-law, June Knouse; Michelle¹s siblings, Todd (Arlette) Knouse, Kim
Aucoin and Scott (Lona) Knouse, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He
was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Gladys Lynn, his siblings Fay
Kroeker, Linda Wood and in infancy Leslie Lynn; his father-in-law Bud Knouse
and his brother-in-law Ernie Eisler. Joe was born in Taber, Alberta on
February 26, 1956. He was raised on the family farm south of Bow Island and
continued to live there until 2 years ago when Joe and Michelle moved to
town. He met the love of his life Michelle and married her on January 10,
1981 in Bow Island. He was what his children will always remember as being a
devoted husband and a caring and compassionate father, who was always
willing to give the biggest teddy bear hugs. Joe enjoyed working on the farm
and over the last several years he was preparing Derrick to take over so he
could enjoy more free time with Michelle doing what they loved - riding the
Harley, spending time with family and friends and wintering in Yuma.
Recently he got to experience one of the greatest joys of being a parent -
when he was blessed to welcome his grandchildren into his life. He enjoyed
taking Summer for rides on his Harley anytime she called saying, "Grandpa, I
thinks I need a Harley Ride!" and enjoyed rocking and snuggling with Evan
anytime he could. The celebration of Joe's life will be held in the Golden
Age Club, 206 5th Ave (Bow Island) on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
For those who wish to attend, at the request of the family and keeping in
tune with Joe's laid-back nature, please wear causal attire. A private
family interment will be held at the Bow Island Cemetery prior to the
celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bow Island
Health Centre, 938 Centre St. Bow Island, T0K 0G0.
