Albert Jr. was born on July 16th, 1957 in the Blood Indian Hospital, Blood Reserve. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Albert Jr. at the Lethbridge Chinook Hospital on January 29th, 2013. He was surrounded by his family and friends.
The Wake Service will be held at the Moses Lake Gym, Blood Reserve on Tuesday, February 5th, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. and continue all night.
The Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Wednesday, February 6th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Blood Band Cemetery.

Andrews, Joan of Vulcan, passed away peacefully February 1, 2013 at the ageof 90 years.
Joan was predeceased by her husband C.H."Budd" in 1985, a daughter Kathrynin 1968 and her parents. Joan is survived by her loving daughters Larraine Andrews and Arlene (Chris)Irwin, son Dean Andrews, grandchildren Savanah and Nathan (Rosanna) Andrews, two great grandchildren Taya and Abby and a brother Les Cox of England aswell as numerous nieces and nephews.

HERRON
JOHN ARTHUR HERRON of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Joanne Penner Herron, passed away on February 2, 2013 at 67 years of age.
John was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and grew up in Calgary, Alberta. Following high school graduation, he launched a business career and found his niche in the jewelry industry. Further education lead to a Graduate Gemologist designation and included courses in business a dministration at the University of Lethbridge, all of which spurred him on to operate Herron’s Jewellers in Lethbridge for many years. He enjoyed the retail business sector which offered opportunities to contribute to the local business community. John was an avid runner and could be found running the coulee trails frequently. The camaraderie of friends who ran with him, trained with him, and survived marathons with him, provided treasured memories and forged meaningful relationships. His passion for the mountains, particularly Waterton National Park, was well known, and the rising sun on a warm day was enough reason to point his Jeep south. He was a political spectator who followed daily events closely. His retirement years included volunteering at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital, which brought much enjoyment.
John was a man of integrity, loyalty, and faith. His commitment to and love for his wife, family and friends was exemplary. He walked through the unpredictability of cancer with dignity, resolve and a confident faith in God to lead the way.
John is survived by his sons Scott (Candy), Johnathan (Niki); brother Bruce (Trish); Joanne’s family Vaughn (Carol), Jason (Shana) and families; mother-in-law Grace Nickel; sister-in-law Elaine (Malcolm) Gilbert. He will be dearly remembered by extended family members and many friends. John was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Margaret Herron.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 4717 – 24 Avenue South, Lethbridge with Reverend Ian Lawson and Reverend Tim Seim officiating.

Michael William Pitt, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Calgary with his loving family by his side on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the age of 78 years.
Besides his loving wife Gail, "Mick" is survived by daughters Cindy Strasky (Kevin) and Cheryl Stubbings (Randy); son Michael Pitt; grandchildren, Ryan (Carrie), Jason and Travis; and great- grandson Cameron. MR. ALEXANDER "ALEC" PRANDOVICH of Shaughnessy, beloved husband of the late Pat Prandovich, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the age of 86 years.
Alec enjoyed a life well lived, as a man of work ethic and compassion. He was fond of his work and the fellowship of his co-workers. He also took joy in helping others with their own work projects. When Alec worked at the Cattelli on night shifts, he was nicknamed "Rooster" because when the sun came up, he would make sure his fellow workers were still awake by crowing like a rooster. In his personal life his hobbies were fishing, hunting and spending time with his three dogs.
Alec is survived by his brother Alex (Nada) Giles; granddaughter Jessica Petrik; and close friends Remie Partosa, Alvin & Ludy Grohs, Mike Oevering, Ann Deers and Susan Tschernetzki, as well as many numerous friends.
Alec was predeceased by his wife Patricia; father Dick and mother Vida.

WOODWARD, James
July 18, 1952- January 29, 2013
Jim passed away at 60 years of age after a valiant four-year battle with brain cancer. He had loved ones at his side during the entire journey and at the time of his passing. Jim is survived by his beloved wife Barb Woodward, daughter Jeanna Friedley, son-in-law Gavin Friedley, and grandchildren Elliott Adelle, Graydon James and grandbaby #3 who is due in June. He leaves behind a loving family in mother Maxine Woodward, brother Ron (Donna) Woodward, sister Marilynne (John) Darroch, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his father Bob Woodward.
Our family would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to the amazing teams of healthcare professionals that cared for us and Jim at the Burger Family Health Centre and in the Athabasca Hospital, Cross Cancer Institute, Royal Alexandra Hospital, University of Alberta Hospital and Grey Nuns Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held Sat. Feb. 9, 11 a.m. at the Athabasca Regional Multiplex – Rotary Fieldhouse. Reception to follow. Donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or the charity of your choice.
