PERCY H. BYAM of Stirling, AB passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012.
He is survived by his loving wife M. Jean Byam, children: Bonnie Soltys, Rose Byam, Tom (Shauna) Byam, and Bill (Sherryl) Byam; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Percy was predeceased by Edwin Byam and Jerry Soltys.

GOBLE
LINNEA EMMA GOBLE passed away, peacefully, in the Cardston Hospital on May First at the age of 95 years.
Linnea was born in the Beaver Mines area to Erik Hagglund and Olga Lundqvist on 24 April 1917. For many years she and her husband ran Frank’s Cafe and the Frank-Lin Motel in Waterton. In 1974 they moved to a home they had built in Cardston where they resided until their deaths. Linnea was predeceased by her husband Frank and son Erik (Lori Demkew), and is survived by sons David (Hazel Fullmer), Ronald (Beth Winteringham), and daughter Frances (Terry Hammell, deceased). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren: Clark (Nicole Green -- Connor, Isabella, Rena), Christopher (Anne Viel -- Massie), Karin (Derek Lidstone -- Merek, Bergen, Evret), Erica, Erik, Cameron (Faith Strong -- Alyssa, Harper), Brendan, Tara (--Jenna), Ryan.

ALOJZY ‘ALEX’ STANO, beloved husband of the late Olga Stano, of Raymond, passed away at the Raymond Health Care Centre on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the age of 91 years.
He is survived by son Stanley Thomas Stano, of Pincher Creek, AB, and daughter Wanda (Dave) Nonay, of Legal, AB; eight grandchildren Michelle (Wade) Fraser, Melissa (Guy) Charrois, Jeffery (Coralee) Nonay, Stephanie (Mathew) Kochtubajda, Sarah (Ray) Guerette, Bryan Rehbein, Morgan Stano and Marcie Stano; as well as 10 great-grandchildren; one brother and many nieces & nephews in Poland, as well as two nieces & their families in Lethbridge. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Olga, son Edward Marion Stano and infant son Alojzy Stano (Germany).
Alex arrived in Canada in May of 1950 with his wife Olga and four year old daughter Wanda. After paying back his fare on a Welling farm, he landed a job in the town of Raymond working on maintenance for the town. In September of 1954, his first son, Stan, was born and five years later in July of 1959 they had a second son, Edward. In the winter months he worked night shift at the Raymond Sugar Factory and in the summer helped Olga in the sugar beet fields. He had a passion for gardening, fishing and telling stories about his life and surviving the labor camps during WW2. Music was also a love of his and he never missed a dance at the weddings of his granddaughters. We will remember him playing his harmonica for anyone who would listen. He lost his zest for life when his wife of 67 years passed away on April 9, 2012. Rest in peace.
A Prayer Service will be held at ST. AMBROSE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1513-23 Avenue, Coaldale, Alberta, on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
