Toto Campbell of Vulcan, Alberta passed away on December 8, 2012 in the Vulcan Hospital at the age of 94.
Toto was the third of three daughters born to Robert and Catherine (Shearer) Barrowman on October 13, 1918. She grew up in Lethbridge and it was there that she married Jonathan McConnell (Paddy) Campbell in August of 1946. Together they raised two children; Neil and Cathie. The family moved to Edmonton in 1959 where she made many new friends. Her beloved Paddy died in 1994 and she continued living in the family home until declining health necessitated a move to Vulcan in order to be close to family. There she resided in the Peter Dawson Lodge where she enjoyed the friendship of other residents and the kindness of the staff.
Toto is survived by her son Neil of Windsor Ontario his wife Leslie Howsam, daughter Jessica Kamphorst and son-in-law Alexander Whitehead. She is also survived by her daughter Cathie McNiven, her husband James Neil McNiven and by their three children Malcolm McNiven, his wife Joanne, Mary Ann Fath, her husband Wade, James McNiven and his partner Nicole Bertrand. She was also loved by her seven great grandchildren: Haylee, Jaycee, Cooper and Mayzee McNiven and Grace, Dawson and Lyla Fath. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Anna Campbell, several nieces and nephews and a cousin Amelia.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her two sisters Mary (May) Livingstone and Davina Macdonald, her husband’s parents, one sister-in-law, several brothers-in-law and a nephew Barry Macdonald.

Mr. Randall ‘Randy’ Buysse DeLeenheer, beloved husband of Mrs. Bernice
DeLeenheer of Bow Island, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre in
Calgary, Alberta, on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the age of 61
years. Along with his loving wife, Bernice, left to cherish Randy’s
memory are his mother, Hilda; children, Paula Malz, Randi DeLeenheer,
Vanessa (Tim) Hamilton and Alex (Sarah) Watt; nine grandchildren,
Hayden, Marina, Jonah, Austin, Carsyn, Sydney, Kyla, Emily and Logan.
Randy’s memory will also be held in the hearts of his brother, Ken
(Shelley) and their son, Kenny; mother-in-law, Donna (Howard) as well
as numerous other extended family. He was predeceased by his father,
Phil, in 2008. Relatives and friends are invited to a come and go
celebration of Randy’s life which will be held at the Bow Island

HORACE VERNON LOWRY
Vernon was born in Taylorville, Alberta, on May 1, 1926. He died on December 9, 2012, in Edmonton. He grew up on a farm in the Taylorville area, south of Cardston, Alberta. Vernon was always an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and as a young man served as a missionary in New Zealand for 30 months. He attended the University of Alberta, where he obtained a Bachelor of Education degree, and where he met his wife, Donna. After teaching school for a few years, he returned to the U of A and obtained a Master of Education degree in reading, after which he served as a reading specialist and Supervisor of Language Arts for the Edmonton Public School Board, a position he held for nine years. He was later principal of Avonmore School. His senior years were spent in missionary work, at home, and especially in New Zealand again.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, and eight children: Ruth Hyrve (Dale), John Lowry (Liza), Thomas Lowry (Renita), Orion Carrier, Vicki Motiuk, Bonnie Beaumier (Raymond), Lisa Lowry, and Ronald Lowry. He leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, and a kind, encouraging teacher and leader.
The Funeral Service will be held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta Stake Center (East Hill) 338 – 5th Avenue East, on Saturday, December 15th, at 11:00 a.m.
Friends may meet the family at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Service. Interment in the Taylorville Cemetery, Taylorville, Alberta.

KONYNENBELT
MR. JOHN KONYNENBELT of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Rosemary Konynenbelt, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the age of 73 years.
John was born in Lethbridge on November 28, 1939 and grew up on the family farm in Nobleford, completing his high school there. He had a love of the open road and became a truck driver, his profession until retirement. For most of the 90’s he returned to farming out at Readymade, but was never far from being behind the wheel. In his younger years he enjoyed barbershop singing, an endeavor where he could be in harmony.
Besides his loving wife Rosemary, John is survived by his daughter Pam (Mike) Bender of Highland, CA; son Kevin of Calgary; grandchildren Ian, Declan, Kieran and Ashlyn; sisters Mint Loslo of Surrey, BC, Trudie (Bert) Slomp of Lethbridge; brother Galen Konynenbelt of Lethbridge; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Johan and Cora Konynenbelt, brother Arie "Ark", and sister Marie "Toots" Plomp.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Friday, December 14, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge.
The Interment will be held at 12:00 pm (noon) on Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the Nobleford Monarch Cemetery followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 260 McGill Blvd West, Lethbridge, with Pastor Cameron Fraser officiating.

Lyman Abbott Matthews passed away peacefully at the age of 102. He was born in Vegreville, Alberta on June 14, 1910.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Leslie) Matthews, his parents Lebert and Emma (Terrell) Matthews, and his siblings Sydney, Gladys and Alice. He is survived by his children Leslie Matthews of Edmonton, Anne (Michael) Peters of Guelph, and Patricia (Graeme) Greenlee of Lethbridge. Lyman has five grandchildren: Chris (Rachael) Peters, Stefan (Michelle) Peters, Edith Greenlee, Ada (Ben) Larson, Valerie (Dustin) Potorti, and eleven great grandchildren: Madelyn, Charlie, Soleil, Shelvy, Dara, Erynn, Ella, Ruby, Oscar, Olivia, and Chase.
Lyman had a brilliant mind, an active lifestyle, and loved making music. He continued to enjoy playing the harmonica until the end of his life.
An informal gathering to honor Lyman’s life will be held in the Lane Lounge at McKILLOP UNITED CHURCH - 2329 15 Avenue South Lethbridge on Friday December 14, 2012 at 7:00 P.M.
