MORRISON
MR. JAIMIE NICOL MORRISON of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Lisa Morrison and father to Austin, Tavin and Spencer, passed away suddenly after a year long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the age of 41 years.
Jaimie was born on December 2, 1970 in Fernie, BC to Ron and Carolyn Morrison, the youngest of three children. Jaimie grew up in Winnipeg, MB but the vast majority of his life was spent in Raymond, AB until the recent move to Lethbridge. Jaimie, better known as "Gunner Morrison", was part of the Lethbridge Army Reserves; he learned many skills and made numerous lifelong friends.
Jaimie and Lisa were married August 12, 1995. They started their family and enjoyed life together. He and his family enjoyed camping, fishing, quadding, and many other outdoor activities. Jaimie was a man of few words, but always enjoyed a coffee and a chat.
Jaimie was a journeyman welder by trade, which he achieved in 1998 from the Lethbridge College. One of the many accomplishments that Jaimie was proud of was being the lead welder on the Lethbridge Water Tower transformation. He had a hidden talent which blossomed during his recent hospital stays, drawing, a hobby that past the time. We hope that one day the boys will use these drawings as a tribute to their Dad.
Besides his loving wife Lisa, Jaimie is survived by his sons Austin, Tavin, and Spencer, sister Kimberly (Joe) Stirmey and their children, brother Kelly (Tara) Morrison and their children; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and their families. Jaimie was predeceased by his parents Ron and Carolyn Morrison.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, with Bishop J. Steed officiating.
