BURTON
STANLEY DAVID BURTON, 70, beloved husband and best friend of Judith Hollister Sheppard Burton, passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, October 28, 2012 surrounded by his family.
Stanley was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho to David and LaDosca Burton. He grew up on many farms in Idaho, Montana and British Columbia. He loved the outdoors and eventually went to work on the Mica Creek Dam in BC.
Stan was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a Building Mission in the Salt Lake Valley and later as a Service Missionary with his wife in Lethbridge at the Bishop’s Storehouse.
He was a custodian for the church and cleaned every building but two in Lethbridge and also cleaned the buildings in Fort Macleod and Brocket.
Stan is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Sarah (James) Woolley, son David Sheppard Burton and two sisters, Janice Stone and Gloria Burton of California.
Friends may meet the family on Friday prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LETHBRIDGE STAKE CENTRE, 2410-28 Street South, Lethbridge, with Bishop Aaron Bridge officiating. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.

MR. HENRY DYKSLAG of Coalhurst, beloved husband of Mrs. Audrey Dykslag, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 at the age of 75 years.
Besides his beloved wife Audrey, Henry is survived by his children Michele Zeller, Audrey Dykslag, and Richard Dykslag; five grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his son David Dykslag, parents John and Marchien Dykslag, one brother, and one sister.

Frank, beloved husband of Umbelina, passed away in Coaldale on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Frank and Umbelina left their home on the Azorean Island of Horta, Portugal in 1959 to relocate to Coaldale where they have since resided. He is survived by his son Tony (Allana), his grandsons Nathan (Chantel) and Troy as well as his sister Maria in Portugal.

The family of STANLEY EARL JOHNSON, beloved husband of the late Mae Johnson, announce his passing on Monday, October 22, 2012 in his 100th year.
Stanley was born on June 15, 1913.
He is predeceased by his wife, Mae Wocknitz Johnson and two great grandchildren.
Left to mourn are his children: Elaine (Duane) Dick, Earl (Avaeli), and Myrna, along with 12 grandchildren and their spouses and 35 great grandchildren.
A private family interment will be held prior to the service.

MCCOLL
MR. ANDREW MCCOLL beloved husband of Sarah McColl of Lethbridge passed away suddenly in Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, October 29, 2012 at the age of 84 years.
Andrew was born on June 8, 1928 in Mallaig, Scotland. He served with the RAF in Germany from 1945 to 1948. He then immigrated to Canada and arrived in Lethbridge on December 31, 1948. Andrew met and then married the love of his life Sarah McPherson on October 6, 1951. They recently celebrated their sixty-first wedding anniversary. Andrew was employed by AGT from 1949 until he retired in 1985. Andrew was involved in the community as Pipe Major of the Army and Navy, and Legion Pipe Bands; and Past Master of Lethbridge Lodge 39 of the Masonic Order.
Besides his loving wife, Andrew is survived by daughters Lesley Potts of Lethbridge, Laurie (Lawrence) McCune of Lethbridge, and Lynn (Chris) Beech of Sherwood Park; grandchildren Andrew and Lindsay Potts, Sarah McCune and Andrea (Jordan) Perrett, Caylee Dutnall (David Ward) and McKenzie Beech; and nieces Heather (Warren) Cooke and Donnie (Daryl) Thompson. He was predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth McColl, brother Jack McColl and sister Betty Batterson.
A Memorial Service will be held at ST. ANDREW’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 1818 - 5 Avenue South, on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Hugh Jack Officiating.

MORRIS
TERENCE GORDON (TERRY) MORRIS of Lethbridge passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the age of 88 years.
Terry was born in London, England on August 26, 1924. He studied at the University of London and at Cambridge in the UK. Terry moved to Canada in 1958 and completed a B.Ed. from the University of Alberta, as well as an M.Ed from the University of Oregon.
Terry met his future wife Elizabeth (Elsie) Morris (nee Konkin) while teaching in Edmonton. They were married in 1961 and had two children David (Paula) and Sara. The family moved to Nelson, BC before settling in Lethbridge in 1969.
In addition to his wife and children, Terry is survived by his grandchildren Latisha (Creg) Leishman and Lauren Morris; and his great grandchild Lukas Leishman. He was predeceased by his sister Jean Abbott.
Terry taught in Lethbridge where his love of children and books kept him in the classroom until retirement in 1986. His passion for making a difference in his community led him to get involved in the Lethbridge Municipal Hospital Board, the Lethbridge Public Library Board, the Provincial Mental Health Advisory Committee, and the Lethbridge Public School Board.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at ST. AUGUSTINE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 – 11 Street South, Lethbridge, with Canon James Robinson and Canon Allan McCuaig officiating.

MAURICE “MOE” IAN MURRAY, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away in Raymond, Alberta on Saturday, October 27th, 2012 at the age of 80 years.
Moe was born on June 10th, 1932 in Lacombe, Alberta and spent an adventurous and happy childhood in Ponoka. He started work at a young age and enjoyed a long career in the oil industry as a consulting engineer, developing a highly respected knowledge of deep well drilling. Moe was instrumental in bringing in the discovery well in Swan Hills, Alberta, which is Canada’s third largest oil reserve. When he wasn’t in the oilfield, he was on his ranch, south of Black Diamond. His last years were in Raymond, Alberta as a devoted home teacher and Temple worker.
He will be missed by his loving wife Ann and blended family. Children; Laura (Ken) Tyler, Ian (Wendy) Murray, Janet Murray, Wendy (Richard) Houle, Randy (Debbie) Murray, Jo Ann (Terry) Petrie, Cameron (Carla) Murray, Teresa (Blair) Benn, Laramie (Michelle) Thurber, Milo (Hilary) Thurber, Orrlan (Diamond) Thurber, Christi (Merrill) Strong and his sister Jean Fitzwater. Moe was predeceased by his father James, mother Jane, brother Jim, sister Hilda, daughter Patty and wife Grace. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Knight Street Chapel, Raymond, AB on Friday, November 2nd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.

of Provo, Utah; William Nordquist of Provo, Utah. He is also survived by his
grandparents Garth and Betty Harris of Taber and by numerous nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Arvid and Myrtle Nordquist;
uncles Derrick Harris, Jim Raymer and Allan Bodnar; two cousins Jason Harris
and Devin Harris.
Eric was born in Taber October 16, 1978. His early school years were spent
in Viking before finishing school in Magrath. Following graduation Eric
spent two years attending Minot State University before working in seismic,
roofing, garage door installation and most recently for FT Services where he
was a warehouse foreman, training for his journeyman’s certificate. He had a
strong work ethic and gave himself completely to anything he did.
Eric enjoyed adventure, doing such things as skydiving, bungee jumping and
most recently quadding. He liked athletics, playing basketball in high
school and men’s leagues in Regina and Minot. He also participated in both
volleyball and golf. He enjoyed traveling to warm destinations including
Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
Eric loved people and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will
be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Eric’s name may be made to the
charity of one’s personal choice.

MRS. ANNA SPIEGELBERG, of Lethbridge, passed away at home, on Monday, October 29th, 2012 at the age of 80 years.
Anna is survived by son Martin (Sam) Spiegelberg and granddaughter Mackinley, sisters Mary (Gordon) Wilson and Eva Preikschas, brother Fred (Verna) Preikschas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by husband Horst Spiegelberg, parents Georg and Mary Preikschas, sister Edith (Preikschas) Lesch, brothers Henry, Jacob, Georg and Martin Preikschas.
She was born in Medseden, Lithuania and immigrated to Canada in 1954. For the first little while she and most of the family worked in the sugar beet fields. She then lived and worked in Vancouver. The majority of her life was spent working alongside her husband Horst in their family owned residential construction business “Diamond Homes LTD.”. After her husband’s passing in 1989 she continued to run the family business. She was an active member in the Lutheran Church helping mainly with making gifts for the needy and volunteering at functions and the soup kitchen on numerous occasions. One of Anna’s great passions in life was her family, ensuring that everyone was always taken care of. Other passions in her life would include her vegetable and flower garden. Anna was very proud of her “homemade remedies” finding cures for everything from a sore throat to a stomach ache. She will be greatly missed by All who knew her.

STEGEN
EDWIN “ED” LEE STEGEN
Ed Stegen passed away peacefully on September 12, 2012 at the Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his wife Laura, his children Jim (Maureen) Stegen, Wendy (John) Laughington, Sandra (Ted) Ashmore, stepchildren Theresa (Joe) Prozniak, Brian (Lynn) Winters, brother Howard and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Jessie in 1992, grandson Jason Stegen, stepson Roy Winters, sisters Sylvia Melsness and Irene Knutson, and brothers Freemont, Bruce, Jack and Dale.
Ed was born on April 7th, 1922 in Iddesleigh, Alberta. He enlisted in the Canadian Army on November 14th, 1942. He served his country in the United Kingdom and in Continental Europe.
Ed farmed in the Brooks area until he moved to Lethbridge where he worked for the T. Eaton Company and later was the manager of Lethbridge Central Credit Union. In 1978 he returned to Iddesleigh where he owned and operated the Iddesleigh General Store until his retirement to Lethbridge.
Ed enjoyed family gatherings, celebrations and time spent camping, fishing and golfing. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who always put others before himself. His welcoming smile and cheerful ways will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405-12th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback, Celebrant.
Interment in Archmount Cemetery will follow the reception.
