DAVIS, EMILY IRENE
passed away on Thursday March 8, 2012 in her 93rd year, beloved Wife of Kenneth Davis (Deceased), Dear Mother of Kenneth (Bette) of Kanata, Ontario, Pat Morrow of Lethbridge, Alberta, Jill Cusick of Warner, B.C. and Hope Bowkett (Peter) of Fort Macleod, Alberta. Cherished Grandma of Mark; Arlene; Kelly; Jason; Shane, Laura and Great Grandma to Robyn, Tylin, Autumn, Logan, Bryan, Kevin, Megan, Mackenzie, Blake, Stefano and Giuliano.
Emily was a life member and past matron of Success Chapter #30, Order of the Eastern Star, District 14.
One of her many joys was singing in the church choir. She also enjoyed spending time, whenever possible at her cottage. Emily will be missed by all whose life she touched.
Funeral service to be held at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, 411 11 Street S. Lethbridge, Tuesday, March 13 at 11:00 am.

HIRAGA
YOSHIE HIRAGA passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the age of 99 years, one day shy of her 100th birthday, at the Extendicare Fairmont Park surrounded by her loving family.
Yoshie is survived by her children: Marie (Tom, deceased) Hirashima, Kazuo (Yoriko) Hiraga, and Susie Hiraga; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is precedeased by her husband Eigoro Hiraga, children, Jerome Hiraga, Emiko Sakamoto, and George Hiraga; granddaughter, Denise (Hirashima) Fress; parents, Shinzaburo and Kaku Kawade; brother, Shinichi Kawade, and sister, Asako Tanaka.
Yoshie was born March 10, 1912 in Mieken, Japan, and came to Vancouver at the age of 16. After marriage to Eigoro, they lived in BC and Alberta, raising their six children. Yoshie was well-known for her cooking and passion for Japanese crafts.
The family wishes to thank all the caregivers for their compassionate and attentive care.
Friends may meet the family on Monday evening, March 12, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the BUDDHIST TEMPLE OF SOUTHERN ALBERTA, 470-40 Street South, with Rev. Y. Izumi officiating.
Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
