Dr. Alexander Maitland Harper (Alex)
March 10, 1926 – July 24, 2012
The community of Lethbridge has lost a prominent citizen and intellectual. Dr. Alex Harper was a son, brother, loving husband, fabulous father, grandfather and great-grandfather. With his PhD in Entomology, he was a research scientist studying insect pests of field crops with Agriculture Canada for 40 years.
A Celebration of Alex’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 29th, 2012 MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Valerie Martell-Kostiuk officiating.

With heavy hearts & his family at his side we wish to announce the passing of Albert E. Rowley on July 27, 2012. Born in Lethbridge November 30, 1920 the youngest of 10 children.
He is survived by his wife Vera of 67 years; children: Harold, Lynn (Mary), Vernon (Gwen), Betty (Lorne) Stewart, and Raymond; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and all of his brothers, sisters, daughter-in-law Valerie, and mother and father-in-law.
Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, COALDALE CHAPEL, 2216-21A Avenue, Coaldale, AB. The Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m.
Interment to follow at the Barnwell Cemetery.
