McCULLOCH
MR. STANLEY "STAN" McCULLOCH of Lethbridge, formerly of Coutts, beloved husband of Mrs. Karen McCulloch, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the age of 79 years.
Besides his beloved wife Karen, Stan is survived by his children Deb (John) Wolosuk, Gary (Cindy) McCulloch, and Judi McCulloch; step-children Scott, Rick (Jane), Rob (Catherine), Deanne (Jose), and Shelley (Dave); grandchildren Lesli, Julia (Keith), Ami (Tyler), Jennifer, Adam (Nicole), Stan (Kim), Cody (Jessica), Trista, Kyle (Jen), Aaron (Kelly), Casey, Dan, Amanda, Craig, Luke, Josh, and Arianna; mother of his children and good friend Bebe Rutledge; brothers and sisters Jim (Marg), Leonard (Marlene) McCulloch, and Marilee McTavish; sister-in-law Ann; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Stan was predeceased by his son Bob, parents Sandy & Ivy, brothers Howard and Ernie, and son-in-law Lawson.
Stan was born in Calgary, but lived his life on the farm east of Coutts. He was a natural-born farmer and a mechanic before he knew what the word meant. His belief was that there was nothing you couldn’t do or build if you put your mind to it. He instilled these same values in his children. Stan was a hard worker and was always willing to lend a hand to a friend or neighbor in need. He put his heart and soul into the land and his family, raising four children with Bebe. After he and Bebe parted ways, he met Karen. Love at first sight pretty much describes what happened then. They shared 28 marvelous years together. Stan spent the past 13 years battling 4 different types of cancer, as well as Parkinson’s disease. He faced it all bravely and without complaint. He is an inspiration and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Stan’s Life will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, August 20, 2012 at COUNTRY KITCHENS CATERING, 1715 Mayor Magrath Dr South, Lethbridge.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at St. Michael’s Health Care Centre. They also wish memorial donations be made to St. Michael’s Health Centre Foundation, 1400 – 9 Ave South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4V5.
