MR. NOBORU "NOBBY" ABE, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Delima Mary Abe, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday August 28, 2010 at the age of 87 years.
Family and Friends are also invited to pay their respects between 12:00PM and 1:00PM, on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL.

ATWOOD
Brian Atwood, beloved husband of Guyla Bowlby Atwood and father of Brad (Marissa), Dallin and Shawn, passed away on Aug. 31, 2010 at the age of 51.
Brian was predeceased by his parents Glen and Elva Atwood and niece Lacey Atwood. He is survived by his siblings Delroy (Sharon), Donald, Maralyn (Larry) Leavitt, Cheryle (Jim) Duffin, Glenda (Ken) Kroetsch, Myrna (Perry) Iwaasa, Susan (Vern) Nelson, Barton (Gloria), Shelly (Tracy) Johnson, and Donna.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Temple Street Chapel in Cardston at 11 am on Sept. 6, 2010. Friends may meet the family at the Legacy Funeral Home in Cardston on Sunday, Sept. 5 from 7 pm to 8 pm. or prior to the service from 10 am to 10:45 am.
Brian was a wonderful husband and father and was thrilled with becoming a grandfather in 3 months. He will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations for his children will be greatly appreciated and can be made to Brian Atwood Trust Account at any RBC or ATB Financial branch.

MR. GARRY DESMOND BAILES, born August 14, 1943, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
Garry was predeceased by his parents Desmond and Louise Bailes. He is survived by his three children Cheryl (Trent) Walters of Hawaii, Lori Greig of Okotoks, and Michael Bailes of Lethbridge; along with five beautiful grandchildren Megan, Bailey, Payton, Avery and Noah; sister Linda (Don) Reggin of Vancouver; their children Pam, Jennifer and Jeffrey and their families.
A Celebration of Garry’s Life will be held at a later date.

BALFOUR, Helen Gifford (nee Staunton)
At home on Wednesday, August 25th in her 102nd year. Born on October 3, 1908, eldest daughter of the late Edmund and Mary (nee Morison) Staunton. Wife of the late St. Clair Balfour. Survived by her children, Lisa Balfour Bowen (Walter) and St. Clair Balfour IV (Marci McDonald); two grandchildren, Arabella Bowen (Tyler Cole) and Staunton Bowen; in-laws Wilson Baxter, William Balfour and Elizabeth Campbell, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Mary Ryrie (Jack), Ann Fauquier (Adam) and Thomas Staunton (Bonnie). In addition to thanking Dr. Pauline Pariser for her sensitive medical attention, the family wishes to acknowledge the care of Dr. Russell Goldman, Judy Dempsey, Dr. Paul Adam and the services of Integracare. The family is also grateful to Graciela Guercio for providing many years of exemplary personal care with support from Erna Gumabao, Veronica Silva and Jocelyn Ocio. There will be no visitation. FORSYTH, Jean Ethel
(nee Charish)
June 5, 1925 to July 18, 2010
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved Mother and Grandmother Jean in Kelowna.
Jean leaves to love and always remember her - son Greg (Louise) Forsyth of Calgary and daughter Patricia (Derrich) Wright of Kelowna. She was blessed with four grandchildren- Alexa (Jim), Lauren, Brandon and Brent Wesley. She had an incredibly loving and close relationship with her family. She is survived by three sisters, Minnie Strugnell, Irene (Jim) Penrose and Sophie Kosteroski, many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jean was predeceased by her first husband Nick Fedor in 1952, Peter Forsyth in 1989, her brother Joe, sisters Anne and Ollie.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Calgary at Deer Park United Church on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at two o’clock. Jean will be interred with Peter in the Field of Honour, Mountainview Cemetary, Lethbridge. LOUISE FRIESEN, beloved sister of John Friesen of Lethbridge and Tina Friesen of Edmonton, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the age of 85 years.

PETER LOUIS ALEXANDER (NEE SWITENKY)
Peter passed away September 2nd, 2010 in Moose Jaw Union Hospital after a short illness. Peter was born to Gregory and Anna (nee Holick) Switenky at Blaine Lake on November 19th, 1921. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elsie (nee Lichter); sisters-in-law Olga Switenky, Muriel Switenky, Maggie Switenky, Jeannie Switenky and Emma Volke; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Peter was predeceased by his parents, sisters Rose Matwishyn and infant Mary, brothers Michael, Joseph, Walter, Steven, John and infant twins Anthony and Paul Switenky, nephew Earl Switenky, brother-in-law Michael Matwishyn and sisters-in-law Myra and Shirley Switenky. Peter operated a used car sales outlet in Prince Albert. In 1953 Peter and Elsie moved to Lethbridge, AB where he continued in automotive sales. Later he worked at the Lethbridge Gaol until retirement. In 2007 they moved to Moose Jaw to be nearer to family members. Mycola (Nick) was born Nov. 9, 1944 in Magrath, AB and passed away in Nanaimo, BC on July 16, 2010.
