Passed away suddenly Tuesday May 15, 2012 in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 72.
Al is survived by his wife, Maralyn; daughters Marla (Donald) and grandchildren Ashley and Brianne Watson of North Vancouver, BC, and Susan (Sead) of Lethbridge.
Also survived by sister Anne Tait and brothers Frank and Ron Burghardt, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Al’s life will be held at the Coast Lethbridge Hotel, 526 Mayor Magrath Drive South,Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Continental Banquet Room.

ERINGFELD
Ben Eringfeld, beloved husband of Sini Eringfeld of Coaldale, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2012 surrounded by his family. Ben was born on March 29, 1931 in Breedenbroek, Holland. He was the second oldest child in a family of 13 children.
Besides his loving wife, Sini, he is survived by seven children: Marilyn (Rob) Hansum, Cecile Dixon, Frances (Keith) Judson, Albert (Gina) Eringfeld, Angela (Ed) Ruzycki, Carmen (Chris) Little, and Patricia (Scott) Walls. He also leaves behind his 13 grandchildren: Cassandra, Alexandra, Brandon, Mya, Nigel, Noah, Gabriel, Sam, Thea, Sarah, Thomas, Taylor and Nolan. Ben is also survived by his 5 brothers and 6 sisters and is predeceased by one sister, Thea.
Ben began his agriculture schooling in Holland and served two years of duty in the Dutch Air Force before coming to Canada in 1956, where he took on a few jobs. His lifelong dream was to one day own his own farm. He returned to Holland and soon met his beautiful wife whom he married in 1960. After their marriage, they immigrated to Canada where they began their life and family together. In 1965, Ben and Sini bought their farm in Coaldale and worked hard to provide for his family until 1996, when he sold the farm and retired in the Town of Coaldale.
Ben was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church where he was active in the Knights of Columbus and the church choir. He had many hobbies including gardening, stained glass, painting and crossword puzzles. Most of all, Ben cherished his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. “Opa” will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayer Service, on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at ST. AMBROSE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1513 – 23 Street, Coaldale, AB., at 7:00 pm with Deacon Ray and Ellen Wagner officiating.
Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at ST. AMBROSE CATHOLIC CHURCH, on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00 am with Reverend Tomy Manjaly Celebrant. Interment to follow at Coaldale Community Cemetery.

MRS. NEELTJE "NELLIE" SOPHIA HAARMAN of Diamond City, beloved wife of Mr. John Haarman, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the age of 71 years.
Nellie was born in Culemborg, the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1955, settling in Southern Alberta. Nellie and John were married on July 5, 1973. Together they started and operated a construction company and in 1979 they started a family dairy farm in the Shaughnessy/ Diamond City area until the next generation took over and they moved to an acreage near Diamond City where she resided until her passing.
Besides her loving husband John, Nellie is survived by her children Gerrit (Julie) Haarman, David Haarman, Anne Marie (John Bill) Van Garderen, Willianne (Shane) Trotter, Michelle (Matt) Avey, and John Peter Haarman; 16 grandchildren; brothers and sisters Bill (Nellie) Bezooyen, Tine Grisnich, Maaike Oudshoorn, Corrie Goedhart, John (Jenny) Bezooyen, Gerrit (Teresa) Van Bezooyen, Henk (Carla) Van Bezooyen and Margaret (Hank) de Kok; John’s mother A.M. Haarman; John’s brothers and sisters Teun (Coby) Haarman, Wil Bos, Dicky (Henri) Kleiboer, Mieke (Bert) Haarman, Corrie (Wim) Krijt, Jaap (Willy) Haarman, Pieter (Jannie) Haarman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Nellie was predeceased by her parents Gerrit and Willempje Van Bezooyen; father-in-law Gerrit Haarman; sister and brother-in-law Krijnie and Chris de Leeuw; brother Floor Van Bezooyen; sister Willi Schipper; brothers-in-law John Grisnich, Martin Oudshoorn, Pieter Goedhart and brother-in-law Jaap Bos.
The family would like to thank Dr. Beekman, and the staff at the Bethesda Care Home for their excellent care.
Condolences will be held between 7:30pm and 8:30pm on Monday, May 21, 2012 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION OF PICTURE BUTTE, 601 – 3a Street South, Picture Butte.

MARTY LEON STEELE (WOLF TAIL)
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of MARTY STEELE who was suddenly and tragically taken from us on May 13, 2012 in Lethbridge, AB at the age of 35 years.
Marty is survived by his mother Shirley Steele and grandmother Mrs. Mary Steele. Marty and his cousin Jayme were raised by their loving grandmother Mary or "Gramma Bear" as referred to by them. Marty was a loving grandson, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, and best friend. He was a kind gentle soul, always with a warm smile and easily made friends wherever he went. He believed in and respected our Blackfoot culture and spirituality. He had many goals and achievements throughout his lifetime. Growing up, his creativity led him to become a self-taught artist; he enjoyed drawing, wood and clay sculpture, playing guitar, writing songs and poems. Marty made many art pieces for his Gramma Bear. As an athlete, he played rugby, was in track and field, Taekwondo and was a referee for minor hockey. He volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club in his earlier years and later with the St. John’s Ambulance as a Medical First Response and Safety Officer (Lieutenant) for community events in Southern Alberta, the Lethbridge Brigade 454, and Military Militia. Marty was employed as a cook in his earlier years and in later years as a Commissionaires Security Officer. He received his high school diploma, trades certificate, and many other certificates in recognition of his achievements. He was currently in the process of furthering his education.
Besides his grandmother and mother Shirley, Marty is survived by his special friend Angel, his sister Kimberly (Jessie) Steele-Heidebrecht, and brother Travis Steele – Hiedebrecht, aunt Lillian Steele, aunt MaryAnn (Edward) Steele - St. Germaine, uncle Mike (Denise) Steele, his cousins: Chris, Cody, Nicolas, Lesley, Jessie, Cheyenne, Kai, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and relations on his maternal side include: The families of the late Mr. Peter and Mrs. MaryAnn (nee Long Time Squirrel) Many Bears, great aunt Mrs. Lucy Blood and family, great aunt Mrs. Rachel Big Plume and family, late great aunt Mrs. Annie Cross Child’s family, late great aunt Mrs. Philomena Twigg’s family, late great aunt Nancy Calihoo’s family, Bruised Heads, Long Time Squirrels, White Man, Many Grey Horses, Wells, Old Shoes, Crows, Cottons, Plumes, Mrs. Rosie Day Rider and family, late Mrs. Annie Weasel Head’s family, and late Mrs. Florence Scout’s family; adopted families: aunt Kim Black Water, Jessie Black Water, aunt Blanche Bruised Head, uncle Matt Bruised Head, uncle Pernell Bruised Head; and on his paternal side: Wolf Tails. Marty was predeceased by his father Joshua Wolf Tail, and his grandfather Mike Steele Sr. The family apologizes for names that may have been missed. Marty touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 5:00PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge, led by Maureen Condon Horon, with a wake continuing until 11:00pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge, with Father Tim Boyle celebrant.
Interment to follow in the Steele Family Plot.

ISABELL MARY SIDLE, beloved wife of the late James Albert Sidle of Calgary, passed away at the Good Samaritans, the Park Meadows Village on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the age of 95 years.
She is survived by her daughter Laura of Lethbridge, her son John (Debbie) of Taber and their daughter Susan (Curtis) and their children Kade and Taya of Sherwood Park, their son Chris (Jenn) and their children Mattais and Keenan of Lethbridge.
She was predeceased by her husband James, brothers Leo and Percy, sisters Rita Fuller, Doris Kossman, Lillian Knapik, and parents Joe and Mary Carroll.
Isabell’s greatest love was being a mom. There was no greater gift than her children and grandchildren. She found joy in gardening and baking; she was well known for her apple pie. She also enjoyed bowling and golfing. In her younger years she was a great baseball player and loved to go dancing with her brother.
A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Deacon Mike Hazelwood officiating.
A private family interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery prior to the service.
