JAMES DEAN ENNS, son of Tina Enns & the late Peter Enns, passed away in Penticton, BC on July 11, 2011
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.


FRIESEN
Peter Paul Friesen of Coaldale, beloved husband of the late Mary Friesen, passed away at the Brooks Health Center with his children and grandchildren at his side, on July 17, 2011 at the age of 85 years. Peter was born on August 10, 1925 in Schonhorst, Ukraine. Peter immigrated to Canada in 1953, following his fiancée, Mary, who he married shortly after settling in Kitchener, Ontario. The family moved to Coaldale in 1960 to be closer to Peter’s mother. Peter earned his welding ticket and worked for many years at Edwards Rod Weeder in Lethbridge. Peter recently moved to Sunrise Gardens to be closer to his daughter. Peter was known for his love of family, faith, interest in politics and his sense of humour. He was predeceased by his father, mother, sister, and brother. Peter is survived by his 4 children and their families, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from Winkler, Manitoba, and St. Catherines, Ontario and nieces and nephews. Peter will be sadly missed. Interment to follow.



GILCHRIST
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of LAURA JEAN GILCHRIST on May 15th, 2011, and NEIL CAMORN GILCHRIST on July 22nd, 2011, both at the age of 78 years. Both were active in Coaldale and Lethbridge communities.
Neil and Laura Jean are survived by their daughter Charlene and son Alan.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Neil and Laura Jean may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
A Private Family Service will be held.

GORDON
A memorial service for Don GORDON will be held 11:30 am Sunday, July 31st at Archmount Cemetery. A picnic lunch will follow at Baroness Picnic Shelter in Indian Battle Park at 12:00pm, just follow the signs.

KONYNENBELT
DANIEL WAYNE, beloved husband of Melody and loving Daddy of Blake, Brianna and Bethany, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 20, 2011 at St. Michael’s Health Care Centre at the age of 36 years.
Besides his wife and children, Daniel is survived by his parents Ron and Tina Konynenbelt, his sister Corinne (Mike) Fehr and their children Hayley, Adrian and Elisa, brothers; Tim (Mandy) Konynenbelt, Eric Konynenbelt, his oma Cornelia Heins, and grandma Johanna Konynenbelt. He will be sadly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Ian Macadam, mother-in-law Anne Macadam, his opa Fred Heins and grandpa Joe Konynenbelt.
Dan was born in Lethbridge on January 24, 1975 and raised near Nobleford where he was raising his own family. He attended Noble Central School and graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 1999 where he was involved in IVCF. It was here that he met his wife Melody and married her on September 1, 2001.
Dan worked with his Dad and brothers at RTK trucking.
He was a wonderful, intelligent man who devoted himself first to his Lord Jesus Christ, his wife, and his children, of whom he was very proud.
He enjoyed driving, computers, camping, hiking, biking and spending time with family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the NOBLEFORD MONARCH CEMETERY, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm at the NOBLEFORD CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 522 Highway Avenue, Nobleford, Alberta, with Pastor Nigel Wheeler of Lakeview Bible Church, officiating.
He will be greatly missed, although we celebrate in the knowledge that he is safe in the Father’s arms.
And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the power forever and ever. Amen (I Peter 5:10-11)

MISKA, Marie (nee Brockhausen)
Marie passed away peacefully of pneumonia on July 18, 2011 in Victoria, B.C. She was born on April 27, 1925 in Loksa, Estonia. Marie is survived by her husband, John, as well as by her sisters, Ursula, Dora and Karin (Rudolf Schudrowitz) and many nieces and nephews in Germany. Marie and John were married in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 3, 1965. She was a research technologist at the University of Manitoba. After relocating to Ottawa, she became a medical research technologist at the University of Ottawa. After having moved to Lethbridge, Alta., Marie took an early retirement and assisted John in his bibliographic and literary research. Her hobbies included are stone carving, hiking and travelling. After John's retirement from Agriculture Canada Libraries, they relocated to Victoria, B.C. in 1992.
A Celebration of Marie's Life was held in McCall Bros. Floral Chapel in Victoria, BC on Friday, July 22, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer Agency, 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria, B.C. V8R 6V5. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com


O’NEILL, ANNE ELIZABETH
(neé Levitsky)
November 12, 1918 – June 29, 2011
Our beloved mother passed away peacefully in Victoria, BC, where she had moved to be near family and because of her declining health in 2005.
Mom was born in Hardieville, AB the eldest of four children and was raised on a farm near Coaldale, AB, where she attended school.  She was only able to finish grade 10 and then had to find employment as economic times were difficult.
She is predeceased by her parents William and Rose Levitsky, her sister Mary and brother Fred.  She was a loving mother to her four “girls” Mary Lou (Bruce) Winge, Salinas, CA, Peggy (Michael) Sample, Seattle, WA, Doreen O’Neill and Karen (Stephen) Holland both of Victoria, BC.
Anne is survived by eight grandchildren, Mark (Nikki) Sample, Jill (Mark) Shackelford, Eric (Loreen) Winge, Heather (Mehrdad) Azim, Kate Winge, Timothy (Maegan), Daniel and Luke Holland.  They were very special to her as were her three great-grandchildren, Breydan, Keene Sample and Nika Azim.
Anne is also predeceased by her husband Hugh (1981) of 41 years and infant son James (1941).
Mom was devoted to her family and placed their concerns and interests before her own.  She was a strong principled, independent but fun loving woman who worked hard alongside her husband Hugh on their farm south of Lethbridge.
Also left to mourn her passing is her sister Dorothy (Rod) French of Wetaskiwin, AB; her much loved niece Margaret French of Rocky Mountain House, AB and her nephew David (Virginia) French and their daughter Julianna of North Vancouver.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405-12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.  A Reception will follow at the church hall, catered by the C.W.L. (of which Anne was a long time member). 
Interment will take place in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery next to her husband and son with Reverend John Kohler officiating.
“Mom you will always remain only a thought away; we love and will miss you.”
