DORIGATTI
MRS. ELEANOR MARGARET DORIGATTI of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Lloyd Dorigatti, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the age of 85 years.
Eleanor was born and raised in Lethbridge where she met and married the love of her life, Lloyd, and together they continued to reside until his passing in 2010. She worked for AGT and was very proud of working there and being an AGT Pioneer. After retirement she kept in touch with many co-workers at monthly lunches. Eleanor was an avid bowler, traveling to many tournaments with Lloyd. She was a kind and generous spirit, supporting many charitable organizations. Her strong faith served her well over the years, which carried her until the end.
She is survived by her brother-in-law Fred Dorigatti, sister-in-law Patricia Maryancik, extended family, many nieces and nephews who she cared for and they cared for her as well.
Besides her beloved husband Lloyd, Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Mary and Steve Maryancik and brother John "Budd" Maryancik.
Vigil Rites (Prayer) will be held at 7:00 pm, on Monday, January 28, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge led by Maureen Condon Horon.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at ST. BASIL’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge with Father Kevin Tumback celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Saints Parish, 2405 – 12 Ave South, Lethbridge, AB T1K 0P4.

Marg MacMurchy
1936 - 2013
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Marg
MacMurchy, beloved wife of the late Donald “Bud” MacMurchy, on Tuesday,
January 22, 2013 at the age of 76 years.
A private family funeral service was held at the Southland Funeral Chapel.

Marg is survived by her children Jill (Dave) Jespersen of Taber and their
children Brody (Jodie) Jespersen (great grandson Judah Jespersen) and Jori
Jespersen; Bruce (Janine) MacMurchy of Taber and their children Kristin
(Ashley) Skiba (great grandchildren Walker and Maizie Skiba) and Kevin
MacMurchy (Kelsey and her son Kellon); Kim (Ronnie) Thibodeau of Cranford
and their children Tenille (Wade) Miller and Logan Thibodeau (Tasha). She is
also survived by her brothers Peter (Mary) Braun, John (Sandra) Braun, Brian
(Trish) Braun and Bill (Cynette) Braun; sisters Anne (Joe) Megyes, Helen
(Joe) Shield, Brenda (Jim) Gunn, Viola (Don) Powell and by many nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of fifty six years Bud MacMurchy,
parents Peter and Margaret Braun, two brothers, two sisters, one
sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.
Marg was born December 13, 1936 in Hague, Saskatchewan and moved to Taber
with her family in 1947. She met Bud MacMurchy and they were married
November 12, 1954. In 1956 they moved to Crossfield and in 1964 returned to
Taber where she raised her family before working for the Taber School
Division.
Marg enjoyed golf, curling and she loved to shop! She took pride in her
spotlessly clean home, her sewing, cooking and baking. She enjoyed
travelling to Arizona, Las Vegas, Mexico and Hawaii. Her children,
grandchildren and great grandchildren were the greatest joys in her life.
Marg will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and dear
friends.

MELON
MARIO MELON passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta. Mario Melon will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his niece Gianna Cassell and family, his nephew Joseph Melon and family and his treasured Goddaughter Darlene Sergo. Mario is also mourned by his brother Olivo in France and his three sisters, Maria in Italy and Natalia and Paolina in Croatia and many nieces and nephews. Mario was predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Giuseppina Melon, his brother Onorato Melon and sister-in-law Rosa Melon and brother-in-law Giuldo Emoroso.
Mario was the first born son of Giovanni and Giuiseppina and was born in Montona, Province of Istria, Italy. Mario and his brother Onorato immigrated to Canada in 1951, to fulfill their dreams of a new life in Canada. They travelled by train from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Lethbridge, Alberta to commence their sugar beet contract, at Turin, Alberta. Both Mario and Onorato gained employment with Canadian Pacific Railway, at Manyberries, Alberta, November 23, 1951. Mario retired from Canadian Pacific Railway at Kipp, Alberta, February 01, 1992. Mario enjoyed many trips home to Istria, to be with family, enjoying home cooked meals, visiting historical locations and capturing these family moments on film. Mario enjoyed family time with his brother Onorato, incredible meals prepared by his sister-in-law Rosa and special occasions with his niece Gianna and nephew Joseph. He loved travelling to various locations in Canada and the United States. One of his favorite haunts was crossing the border at Coutts, Alberta into Montana for pie and coffee. Mario willingly shared a wealth of family, European and local history through his many stories, photographs and old maps.
The family wishes to thank Art and Elaine Greco, who considered Mario as family, sharing many laughs and his favorite meal of pasta, in any form. The family also wishes to thank the medical staff at Chinook Regional for providing care and comfort to our dear Zio this past year. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff at West Highlands Centre.
Prayers and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Sparwood, BC at a later date. Interment will be at Rivercrest Cemetery in Sparwood, BC, near his brother Onorato and sister-in-law Rosa.

OTT
CHARLES ANGUS OTT, beloved husband to Elaine Harrison; passed away suddenly at Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 due to complications from what was believed to be Crohns.
Besides Elaine and her extended family, he is survived by his son Troy (Leah) Lougheed and their children Taylor and Ryan, his sister Julie Zumpano and sister-in law Marcia Ott.
He is predeceased by his wife of 35 years Marlene Lougheed, parents Bud and Rose, and brother Jim. Charlie was born and raised in the Bowness district of Calgary. After high school he attended SAIT in Calgary where he achieved a degree in Petroleum Technology. Construction ended up being his calling. He came to Lethbridge as a foreman for Poole Construction on the University of Lethbridge project in 1967 until completion and never left the area. He worked with West Winds Constructors for just under 15 years as a superintendent before venturing out on his own, starting up Charmar Enterprises in 1985 - a company that did many projects for the irrigation districts doing poured in place concrete work. He took the successes of Charmar and entered into partnerships with friend Bruce Johnston to form Charmar Enterprises(1991) Ltd and with son Troy to form RTL Agri-Services Ltd a supplier of fertilizer and agricultural chemicals to Southern Alberta.
Due to heart disease, Charlie required a heart transplant that he received in 1999; and it worked flawlessly for the rest of his life. After the passing of Marlene in 2002, he retired and found a new partner in Elaine Harrison. He enjoyed spending the final years with her, traveling and spending the winters in Mesa as well as getting more family and children to enjoy.
In lieu of flowers we would ask for you to sign your donor card and be an organ donor, because of someone’s unselfish gift, Charlie was able to truly enjoy an extra 14 years of life.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329-15 Avenue South, Lethbridge, with Rev. Trevor Potter officiating.

Reta Ethel Koch (nee: Orr)
January 8th, 1916 – January 16th, 2013
Reta Ethel Koch, of Nanton, widow of the late Albert Koch passed away, at the age of 97, Wednesday, January 16 with her family at her side. Reta was born and educated at Enchant, Alberta. She attended Calgary Normal School and taught at Badger Lake, Rocky Rapids, Dovercourt, Enchant and Herrington before marrying Alberta Koch and moving to Nanton where they farmed until retiring to Nanton in 1971. She was predeceased by her parents, Beatrice and William Orr, her siblings Lucille (1921), Ronald (1938) and Betty Davidson (2002) and her husband, Albert (1983). She is survived by her daughter Sheila and Bob Lake, her grandchildren Tracey (Tom) Brewster, Rob (Danielle) Lake and her great grandchildren, Tiana and Mitchell Lake, Brice Robins - Lake and Brinn Robins – Lake and Derek Brewster. The family extend thanks to Dr. Tenove, the caring staff of the Silver Willow Lodge and staff of unit 81 at the Foothills Hospital. A Celebration of Reta’s life will be held at the Nanton – Parkland United Church Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
