(JORDAN) HAMMOND
MRS. MADELINE GRACE (JORDAN) HAMMOND of Lethbridge passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the age of 91 years.
Madeline is survived by her daughters Deanna Matthews of Lethbridge and Linda (Ron Ridgway) Nathe of Stoney Creek, ON; son Dan (Carol Fleming) Reid of Parkland, AB; two sisters; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by three husbands Danny Reid in 1944, Arnold Jordan in 1984, and Allan Hammond in 1986; son Ken Jordan; son-in-law Bruce Matthews; grandson Clint Jordan; as well as several sister and brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge with Canon Allan McCuaig officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 9Z9.

BAKER
WAYNE STEVENS BAKER, beloved husband and best friend of Evelyn, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while on vacation in Salt Lake City, UT on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the age of 75 years.
Wayne was born June 16, 1937 at Galt Hospital – the youngest son of Philip and Lottie Matilda Baker. He was raised on the family farm near Welling and moved to Lethbridge at the age of 11. For 34 years, he worked as a salesman with Baker Appliances and loved his association with the customers he served.
Besides his wife Evelyn, Wayne is survived by his son Don (children Jessica (Jordan) and James), daughter Karla (Rob) Smith (children Lauryn, Cameron and Jack), son Ryan (Christie) Holt (children Mikailla, Benjamin and Sadie), son Eric (Kennedy) Holt (children Mara, Maxwell, Seia and Samuel) and daughter Tanis (Jared) Taylor (children Aliya, Mya and Zoey). He is also survived by his sister Hazel Kiely and his sisters-in-law Mary, Melba, Edna, Moselle, Bernice and Pat Baker.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents, grandchildren Philip and Matthew Baker, son Mike Baker, sisters LaPreal McNeely and Myrtle Jensen, and his brothers Roscoe, Bryan, Ken, Claude, Don and Bill.
Wayne was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Above all, he loved giving service to his family and cherished his grandchildren. He will be sorely missed.
Friends may meet the family on Monday evening, July 16, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, or prior to the funeral service at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LETHBRIDGE STAKE CENTRE, 2410-28 Street South, Lethbridge, with Bishop Aaron Bridge officiating.
Interment in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.

KELLY
GALE LEE KELLY of Drumheller, AB. passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the age of 41 years. She is survived by her daughter Chanteesa and son Kaizer of Lethbridge, mother Shirley (Gunther) of Lethbridge, brother Patrick (Jenny) of Shaughnessy and sister Jody (Dale) of Redcliff. TERAKITA
Sept. 3, 1922 - July 12, 2012
Masayuki "Mas" Terakita passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the age of 89 years.
Mas was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His daughters, Joanne (Bob) Planidin of Calgary, Phyllis Terakita of San Antonio, Texas and Carolyn Terakita (Leigh Morris) of Calgary. Grandfather to Kiyomi Planidin (Daniel Wong), Mikiko, Tomiko and Reid Morris, all of Calgary and Yoshiko Planidin (Mykel Coates) of Lethbridge. Great-grandfather to Abigail and Xander Coates and Emiko Wong.
He is also survived by his four brothers and two sisters: Mitsuyuki (Heidi), Yoshiyuki (Jeannine), Masaji (Shirley), Bill (June), Hiroko (Jim) Tateishi and Momoyo Terakita and numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife Tayeko Jane, his parents Itoe and Masao Terakita and his brother Kazayuki.
Mas was born in New Westminster, BC and moved in 1946 to
work on the sugar beet farms of Alberta. He was employed by CPR and then pursued a successful career in life insurance until his retirement. Mas and Jane loved their ice cream shop and grocery store which they ran for 10 years in Waterton Park.
He was a consummate volunteer; instrumental with the Japanese Redress movement and served many terms as president of the Northside Buddhist Church. Mas will always be remembered for his zest for life, "every day is a bonus". He loved his fishing trips to the coast, trips to Vegas, family summers spent in Fairmont. He cherished his family and friends and always made a point of keeping in touch.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 between 7:00 – 9:00 pm at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 – 13th Street North, Lethbridge, Alberta.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the BUDDHIST TEMPLE OF SOUTHERN ALBERTA, 470 – 40th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 3Z5, with Rev. Y Izumi officiating.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful, caring staff at Blackrock Terrace.
In lieu of flowers or koden, donations may be made to the BUDDHIST TEMPLE OF SOUTHERN ALBERTA, or a charity of your choice.
