CECIL ‘CY’ WILLIAM REDFERN
Cy Redfern of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Gladys, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at age 95 years. He was born in Belleville, Ontario on December 26, 1917.
Cy was a successful city businessman. He was awarded the distinguished Air Force Cross from King George VI in 1945. Cy is survived by his wife, Gladys, and his three children, Jon, Cathy and Joan.

Philip Gross
1931 - 2013
Philip Gross, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Gross, slipped away
peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital in the early morning hours of
Friday, February 22, 2013, just two weeks before his 82nd birthday. His
family was at his bedside as he quietly moved onwards.

Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 5:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church,
5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. with
Reverend Vincent TuanHa Celebrant. Burial to follow at the Assumption

Philip is survived by his four children Don (Rita) Gross of Lethbridge,
Mona (Jim) Ottenbreit of Fairmont, British Columbia, Darla (Brent) Felske of
Coaldale and Darren Gross of Lethbridge; six granddaughters and seven great
grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings George (Jean) Gross of
Lethbridge, Peter (Donna) Gross of Calgary, Frank Gross of Lethbridge,
Lawrence Gross of Taber, Lucielle (Mike) Hryciuk of Bow Island, Agnes
Petersen of Calgary and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Philip was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Gross; his parents Elizabeth
(nee Thomas) and Joseph Gross; his sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Lum
Shockey; sister-in-law Joan Gross and brother-in-law John Petersen.
Philip was born in Grassy Lake on March 8, 1931. He married Dorothy Biegler
in September of 1949 and has resided in Grassy Lake all of his life.
Philip was a worker, a provider and a friend to everyone. He was always
ready to help anyone at a moments notice and never expected anything in
return. He grew up farming, hunting and never missed an opportunity to go
fishing, rain or shine. Philip had a wonderful group of friends that kept
him busy and a large family who would call with invitations for supper or a
visit. Philip will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.

Mr. Doug Harrold of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Carol Harrold, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the age of 77 years.

DR. IAN BENNETT
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Dr. Ian Bennett on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, in Lethbridge.
Born in the Falkland Islands June 9, 1939, Ian moved to England with his parents at the age of six years. Ian immigrated to Canada in 1965 where he joined a medical practice in Lucky Lake, Sask. Three of Ian’s children, Anthony, Graeme and Pamela, were born in Lucky Lake. In 1971 Ian and his family moved to Fort Macleod where he joined the Walker Clinic. In 1973 Christopher was born. In 1982 Ian married Arline and in 1984 Lindsay was born. Ian continued his medical practice in Fort Macleod until his retirement from private practice.
After his retirement from private practice Ian continued to work with the Alberta Medical Association Physician and Family Support program. Ian was always concerned about the health and well-being of all physicians and their families.
Ian’s greatest joy was being with family and friends. He frequently reminded all his children he only had them so they would produce grandchildren. He was not disappointed. Ian enjoyed golf and hockey. He loved spending time at the cabin. He will be greatly missed.
Besides his loving wife Arline, Ian is survived by his two daughters, Pam (Eric) and Lindsay; his five sons, Anthony (Dal), Graeme (Yvonne), Christopher (Natalie), Darrell (Lana) and Jason (Tammy); grandchildren Morgan, Liam, Owen, Braden, Anders, Kiara, Stephanie, Claire, James, Summer, Kruze, Jett and Rowan; as well as extended family members Chad and Janine and their children Tyson and Grace.
Ian was predeceased by his parents George and Lillian and his sister Joan.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish, memorial donations may be made to St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit, St. Michael’s Hospital, 1400 9th Ave. S., Lethbridge, T1J 4V5.
A Memorial will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday,_March 2, 2013, at the GALT MUSUEM, 502 1ST St. S., Lethbridge.

Evelyn Christina Johnson
December 13, 1929 – February 22, 2013
Evelyn Christina Johnson passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Claresholm, Alberta. Evelyn was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on December 13, 1929 to Hans and Lena Nordlund.
Evelyn received all of her education in Lethbridge and married Evereth Johnson on November 13, 1948. At that time she moved to the farm east of Stavely, where they raised their family of four children. Evelyn was a quiet and gentle person who enjoyed time with her family, the close friendship of Ruth Burbank and the companionship of her pet dogs. Evelyn was a member of the Stavely Rebekahs for over 60 years.
Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Bernie Johnson and Barry (Connie) Johnson; and her granddaughter Kristina. She is also survived by her daughter Wendy McAuley; her granddaughter Susan Robinson; her great-grandchildren, Keegan and Kayla; her grandson Noel McAuley (Lindsay); and her great-grandchildren, Cooper, Olivia and Macy. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Evereth; her parents, Hans and Lena; her son Brian Johnson; and a great-grandson Bryce Bosma.
A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

KEN ROBISON
August 12, 1929 – February 22, 2013
Lorne Kenneth (Ken) Robison of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mary Robison, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the age of 83.
Ken was born and spent his early years in Saskatchewan. After moving to Lethbridge he met and married the love of his life, Mary, in August 1952. Ken was an active contributor to the Lethbridge business community, an avid member of the Lethbridge Country Club, and a longtime member of Kinsmen and K40. After retirement, Ken enjoyed spending the winter months in Palm Desert, California.
Ken was predeceased by his wife, Mary, brothers Ron, Glen and Vern. He is survived by his daughter Patti (Greg) Garnett, son Perry Robison, grandchildren Michelle and Matthew Garnett, and Kristina Robison, as well as several nephews, nieces and their families.
Cremation and private inurnment will be held by family. A celebration of his life will take place in May. Details will be announced at a later date.

STEWART NYQUIST
Mr. Stewart "Stu" Nyquist of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Florence Annette Nyquist, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the age of 67 years.
Stu was born on November 29, 1945 in Fernie, BC, the son of Harold and Margaret Nyquist. When Stu got to high school he played in the Cranbrook concert band, always doing solos and joined a rock in roll band called the Tycons.
Stu and Flo shared a very special love that Stu always said God sent Flo to him. They would have been married 48 years on March 13th. They had plenty of ups and downs but always said they had a great life. Stu loved and thought so much of his sons and grandchildren, Mel and Colin. He was always so interested and supportive of all they did.
Besides his loving wife Florence, Stu is survived by his three sons Stewart Garnet, John Harold, and Christopher James; extended family Colin and Melody Peevers; grandchildren Christopher Jon William, Anthony Troy Stewart, Brandon John Stewart, and Breanne Hope; sister Nancy Alger; and brother John Charles.
Stu was predeceased by his parents Harold and Margart Nyquist; baby sister; brothers-in-law Terry Alger, Ray Eng; father and mother-in-law Garnet and Cherry Bannatyne; and sister-in-law Roberta Jean Bannatyne.
Sleep well my sweetheart, until that great day you come to take me home.

It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Tillie Forczek announce her passing on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Tillie is survived by her mother Martha Szabo, sister Doreen Varzari (Lee Zignego), sister Cynthia (Kevin) Gietz, and nieces Claire and Evyn. She was predeceased by her father Laszlo Forczek.
