EMARD
The family of FLORA MAY EMARD of Lethbridge announce her passing on Saturday November 3, 2012 at the age of 92 years.
Mom was born November 15, 1919 in Rochdale, Lancashire, England and came to Canada in 1946 as a War Bride with 2 small girls in tow. Flora had 6 children. She worked in the Food Service Business for most of her life, making wonderful friends and meeting new people all the time. She loved to travel and made it back to England and Europe many times to visit family. Mom was a member of the Lethbridge Senior Centre and was a great volunteer.
She was predeceased by her daughter Diana and son-in-law Don Reinhardt.
She is survived by her daughters Maureen (Gerry) Marlborough and her family David (Jen), Karen, Brad (Jody); Diana’s family Darren (Diane), Sherry (Stewart) McKay; Lynn (Don) Virginillo and her family Kevin (Ginna), Robert (Pia); sons Michael and his family Duane (Martina), Angela Koster, Jennifer; David (Cheryl) and his family Darren (Mellisa), Josh, Crystal (Randy); Peter (Cindie) and his family Kinsey, and Hannah; 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great great- grandson.

HOPKINS
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of MRS. PHYLLIS ELOISE HOPKINS (nee Moore), beloved wife of Fred Hopkins and mother to George, Tom, (William and Charlene deceased). Phyllis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Edith Cavell Care Centre at the age of 95 years.
Phyllis, known as Mickey by all her friends and family, was born in Bienfaite, Saskatchewan traveled and lived throughout Canada spending most of her life in Fort Macleod, Lethbridge, and Creston, BC
Phyllis showed great kindness to stray animals and cared for many neglected and stray cats that appeared on her doorstep. Phyllis loved the arts; she danced, sang and was accomplished at painting outdoor scenery. Growing flowers, gardening and raising prize squash filled her summer.
Phyllis was a kind hearted, caring person whose happy personality and love of life touched everyone.
In the last years of her life she spent them at Edith Cavell Care Centre where the staff showed her great care, kindness and affection.
Phyllis will be missed, by her sons Tom and George, daughter-in-law Lorraine; all her grandchildren Brian, Aprille (Pat), Lila, Victoria (Simon); great-grandchildren Katie (Mark), Thomas James (Natalie), Asha and Henry; great-great-grandchildren Abby, Matthew, Jessie and Veronica.
A private service will be held in her honour celebrating her life.

JENSEN
GERALD LYNN JENSEN, "Gerry", beloved husband of Sherry Jensen passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the age of 63 years.
He is the loving father of: Jason (Lesa) Jensen, Tara (Neil) Garuk, and Carma Jensen, all of Lethbridge. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Evan, Keegan, Halie, Rainne, Darion, and Connor; his mother Connie Grigor; and siblings: Jacquie, Gay, Daryl, Randy, Jayne, and Todd.
He is predeceased by fathers Jack Myre and Walter Jensen; siblings Kent and Carma, and nephews Matthew and Benton.
Gerry’s biggest passion was with his family, church, colleagues and friends at the credit union. Gerry spent his recreation time camping, riding motorcycles, playing racquetball, and golfing. He will be forever missed.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LETHBRIDGE EAST STAKE CENTRE, 4105 Forestry Avenue South, Lethbridge, with Bishop David Stewart officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment to follow in the Taber Cemetery, Taber, AB.

Johnson, Wayne Leroy
On Saturday November 3, 2012 Wayne Johnson of Fort Saskatchewan passed away at the age of 72 years.
Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda; three children: Kevin , Darren (Karen) and Kim; three grandchildren: Jade (Erik) Ostensen, Brianne and Kyle; his brother Garry (Linda); brother-in-law Ray (Cheri) Indriks; niece Casey; nephew Brody, as well as his mother-in-law Lily Indriks.
He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Leonard Johnson.
A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on December 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dow Centennial Center 8700-84 Street (Sherrit Cultural Pavilion Entrance) Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

MALZENSKI
CHRISTINA (CHRIS) MALZENSKI, beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Malzenski, passed away peacefully at the Edith Cavell Care Centre, Lethbridge, on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at the age of 83 years.
She worked at the Crowsnest Pass Hospital as a nurse's Aide, then later as a cook at the Turtle Mountain Hotel. Chris loved to spend time cooking, baking, gardening, and was fondly known as "Mrs. Clean" for her habit of bleaching and scrubbing everything in sight. Her favorite times were family gatherings; making homemade buns, perogies and cinnamon buns to be enjoyed by all. She took special time with grandkids and great-grandchildren, babysitting and passing on her culinary skills.
She is survived by three daughters: Carol (Eugene) Fosty; Betty Dingreville (Leo); Sandra (Bob) O'Brien; six grandchildren: Dawn (Steve) Crane; Bill (Natalie) Olinek; Allen Dingreville; Shauna (Dale) O'Brien; Errol Nystrom; Behn Nystrom; seven great grandchildren; and one great, great, grandson. She is also survived by six brothers and sisters.
Chris was predeceased by one brother, George Vlchek, a great great grandson, Tyrell Nystrom, and a son-in-law, Preston Nystrom.

SMITH
ALICE JUNE ELIZABETH NELSON SMITH passed away peacefully at the Lee Crest Care Center in Cardston on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the age of 91 years, beloved wife of the late Theron Smith.
Alice was born July 15, 1921 to Edgar Emberg (Ted) and Elizabeth Bigelow Nelson. The majority of her life was spent in Cardston. She attended Normal school in Calgary so she could receive her teaching certificate. She taught 1 year in Sedan and 1 year in Spring Coulee.
Alice married Theron Leon Smith on April 24, 1943. Together they raised five children; Terry - deceased, Randy (Valerie) Smith, Julee (Ron) Small, Shellee Smith, Dixee (Randy) Wilkerson. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Ellison as well as 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Alice had a beautiful soprano singing voice which talent she shared at many weddings, funerals and cultural events. Alice and Theron enjoyed traveling to various places in the world. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Alice will be missed by all that knew her.
The Funeral Service will be held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple Street Chapel, Cardston on Saturday, November 10th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with President Larry Schow officiating.

Our mother is survived by her children Lia and Peter Kreft, Adri and Marjoke Verhoef, Heleen Demers and Eric Sage, Henk and Teresa Verhoef, Paul and Helen Verhoef, as well as son-in-law Ton and Francine Hoedeman, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughters Hendrika Arina and Louise Henriette.
