MORGAN, Roy Allen
February 1, 1948 - March 3, 2013
Roy Allen Morgan was born February 1, 1948 and died March 3, 2013. Roy had a great life! Dedicated friend, husband, and soul mate of Dawn Morgan for forty-four years, Roy passed away last Sunday at his home. Those fortunate enough to have known Roy will share in the grief and sadness of his daughters, Jacqueline, Kristine and Bernadette Morgan; and sons-in-law Dieter Hart and Steve Pekarthy. After living his life with his "enduring love", battling through the ravages of her cancer as her caregiver for ten years and deeply mourning her passing these past three years, Roy is finally back where he longed to be ~ at Dawn’s side, in Heaven. In a letter from Dawn, she reminded us that Roy loved three things: God, his family and friends, and his country. Roy cherished his children, and took great joy in nurturing his four grandchildren, Rhiannon, Liam, Ulrich, and Odin. Roy always felt privileged by the joy of having a large extended family and his long and lasting friendships. He welcomed all with generosity and a warm friendly smile few could match. We who had the privilege of knowing Roy were fortunate. Each of us touched, each loved, each aided, each enriched by his positive attitude, strength, and the wealth of fatherly advice he was willing to share. As saddened as we are all with his passing, we who benefited and loved him so much know he will always be present in us.
Those wishing to pay their respects were able to do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E. Calgary, AB) on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E. Calgary, AB) on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church (10 Prestwick Drive S.E. Calgary, AB) on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Please forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
In living memory of Roy Morgan, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek Chapel, 14441 BANNISTER ROAD S.E. CALGARY, AB Telephone: 1-800-661-1599.

with those who will miss him dearly.
During the sixties and early seventies, Lawrence had a love of curling.
After moving to Taber, he became very involved with the Taber Curling Club.
Some might say he was an expert ice maker. Lawrence participated in many
curling bonspiels, most notably defeated by Ron Northcott in the game,
coming down to the last rock, to qualify for the Brier in 1966. Rare in a

Construction, moving equipment.
Lawrence always had a passion and masterful skill in wood working. As a
young man, he started with Fretsaw wood carvings then expanded into cabinet
making and small projects. His true talent lay in refinishing antiques.
Lawrence's attention to detail was evident in each of his finished pieces
which reflected his amazing talent of carpentry and wood finishing.

directly to the Taber & District Health Foundation (Active Care Unit), 4326
- 50 Avenue, Taber, Alberta T1G 1N9.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of the Taber Hospital
