Bantam AAA
The Lethbridge Val Matteotti bantam AAA Golden Hawks went 1-1 on a road trip north last weekend.
The Golden Hawks beat Fort Saskatchewan 2-1 Saturday, but fell 6-3 to the Lloydminster Heat on Sunday.
In Saturday's win, Ryan Stronski scored the go-ahead goal, while netminder Robert Brewin earned the win in net.
Chase Bell, Laramie Kostelansky and Andrew Thompson were the goal-scorers in Sunday's loss in Lloydminster.
The Golden Hawks were 0-3 the prior weekend, losing 5-2 to the Calgary Bronks Jan. 28, 7-4 to the Airdrie X-treme Jan. 29 and 2-1 to the Calgary Royals Jan. 31.
In the loss to the Bronks Chase Williamsen and Austyn Moser were the Lethbridge goal scorers, while Brewin was in goal.
Moser scored twice in the loss to Airdrie, while Braeden Ruff and Bell added singles.
Michael Grant was the sole Golden Hawks goal scorer in the loss to the Royals. Brewin was in goal.
The Golden Hawks head into their final weekend of the regular season this week. The Golden Hawks host Medicine Hat at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Henderson Arena and are back on home ice this weekend when they host Okotoks on Saturday at 5 p.m. and the Calgary Bisons at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Golden Hawks have clinched a playoff spot and are currently in fourth place in the Ram South Division.
Midget AA
The Lethbridge midget AA Hockey Hounds were 0-2-2 in their tournament last weekend.
The Hounds tied the Whitehorse Mustangs 1-1 on Thursday as Jonathon Zdan scored the lone Lethbridge goal.
On Friday the Hockey Hounds lost 9-5 to the Kelowna Rockets. Jay Hollingsworth scored for the Hockey Hounds, while Zdan and Alex Barthel added singles.
The Hockey Hounds tied Sherwood Park 4-4 on Saturday as Barthel scored twice and Matthew Rypien scored once and Carson Huculak added singles.
Lethbridge wrapped up the weekend with a 5-4 loss. Barthel scored twice, while Todd Meheden and Austin Weersink added one each.
The Hounds next action Thursday at as they host the Red Deer Prostitch at 6:30 p.m. at Henderson Arena. The team then travels to Okotoks Friday to face the Oilers.
