Counterfeit American money lands pair in trouble

On Saturday, the Lethbridge Regional Police Service was called to a complaint regarding suspicious counterfeit bills, resulting in an investigation conducted by Patrols and the Economic Crimes Unit. As a result two people were apprehended.

Over $15,000 in counterfeit American cash was recovered, and the investigation continues.
A 34-year-old woman from Lethbridge and a 37-year-old Calgary man are remanded and have been charged with uttering counterfeit money, possessing counterfeit money and possessing materials used for counterfeiting
