Police received a complaint of an intoxicated driver whose vehicle had struck a second, parked vehicle on Mic Mac Blvd. West in Lethbridge. Police attended and observed a two-vehicle collision and the sole occupant/driver of the one vehicle standing off to the side.
Police spoke to the man, who showed extreme signs of impairment with unbalanced stance, slurred speech, red glossy eyes and the smell of alcoholic beverages. Witnesses at the scene identified the man as the driver.
The driver later refused to provide samples of his breath.
A 31 year old city man has been charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving and refusal of breath samples.
