A number of city residents are set to be honoured with Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals.
Thirty outstanding southern Albertans, recognized for dedication of service to peers, community and to Canada, have been named recipients.

Member of Parliament Jim Hillyer made the announcement yesterday.
“The constituents of Lethbridge can be very proud to have so many valued, community-minded individuals residing in this area, who have made significant contributions towards the vibrancy of Southern Alberta,” he said.
Awarded on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, the medal, created to mark the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty’s accession to the Throne, will be awarded to 60,000 Canadians during this Jubilee Year.

Reach tomorrow's Herald to find out which 14 city residents will be honoured with medals.
