Wildlife trafficker loses appeal

A Brocket man who challenged his wildlife trafficking conviction on the grounds that Alberta's Wildlife Act shouldn't apply on First Nations land has had his appeal denied in court. Malcolm Potts was convicted of 12 wildlife trafficking charges in February 2010 after an undercover wildlife officer found he hunted illegally, including for eagle parts.

Downtown power outage early Sunday
