Do you believe that political parties should represent you? Then the Liberal Party has something to offer.
I joined the Liberal Party two years ago, not long after they lost most of their seats in the last federal election. The Liberals gained an opportunity in defeat to open up the party to new people, new ideas and new ways of doing things.
At our convention in Ottawa in 2012, Liberals voted to allow anyone to vote for the party leader. We want to be the most open political party in the country, so we created a new category called "supporters" so people could vote for free, without becoming a member of the Liberal party. No other party in Canada is offering you the chance to choose its leader.
There is no more important decision that a political party can make than who is to be its leader. That's why we want your say in who becomes Liberal party leader and invite you to sign up as a supporter and vote in our leadership election this April.
To sign up, just visit www.liberal.ca and click the LPC 2013 Leadership link right on the front page. From there it's as easy as 1-2-3. First, follow the link that says "sign up here" to sign up. The deadline to sign up is March 3 so don't wait, time is running out!
After you've signed up as a supporter, the second step is registration. It only takes a few seconds to register, and once you do so you will be able to vote either online or by phone for your choice of leader. The last step is casting your vote, which will take place the week of April 7-14. If you require assistance or want to contact us, my email is
