Reason to doubt police college commitment?

If I were the mayor of Fort Macleod, I would be more than a little worried about the province’s commitment to build a new police college in that town.
The premier’s careful choice of words regarding functionality and financing tell me that lobbying to relocate the facility is probably what is really holding up this project. No doubt, you wouldn’t have any difficulty finding volunteers to move to Calgary, Red Deer or Edmonton, but the idea that a lot of staff would look forward to the Fort as a place to live is more than a little optimistic.
Similarly, financing would more likely favour a bigger centre as well.
Only time will tell if this college gets built in Fort Macleod. Personally, I think the probability gets lower with each passing day that the decision is deferred into the future.
