A 22-year-old woman is dead after an early-morning collision yesterday.
According to a RCMP press release, at approximately 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, a silver 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV was involved in a fatal motor-vehicle collision along Highway 811 north of Fort Macleod. The vehicle was traveling south along the secondary highway when it left the right side of the road and rolled several times.
The female driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. It is not known what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway, however, alcohol was not a factor in this collision, according to the RCMP.
