Police are still investigating after a 61-year-old Cardston man was found dead in a west Lethbridge neighbourhood Friday morning, but they say there is no evidence to suggest foul play.
Lethbridge regional police have classified the man’s death as non-suspicious pending an autopsy scheduled for tomorrow, Jan. 5, at the medical examiner’s office in Calgary. The man’s name has not been released.
Around 9:25 a.m. Friday, a passerby discovered the man’s body on a walkway near the intersection of University Drive West and Heritage Boulevard West, not far from the entrance to the Heritage Heights neighbourhood. For part of Friday morning, police closed the pedestrian path, which runs along a busy roadway, as they continued to investigate. The path has now been re-opened.
