The driver of a small Toyota car was found dead last night after a collision with an empty cattle liner.
At about 8:20 p.m. last night, Lethbridge RCMP, as well as fire and emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal motor-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 512 and Highway 845, approximately two miles south of Coaldale.

An empty cattle liner was heading northbound on Highway 845 when the Toyota car heading westbound on Highway 512 failed to stop for a stop sign and ran into the side of the cattle liner. The vehicle was dragged for 100 metres prior to the cattle liner being able to stop, and the car was fully engulfed in flames.
One occupant was found deceased in the Toyota, according to a RCMP press release. Investigation is continuing into the cause of the collision and pending autopsy and positive identification of the deceased, no names will be released on the matter, for proper NOK notifications to be made, continued the press release.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this collision, and no charges are being considered at this time.
The RCMP added further updates will be released as information is available.
