RCMP officers work at the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision where a minivan collided with the trailer of a semi-truck Tuesday morning along Highway 23 just north of the intersection with Highway 519 near Nobleford.

LETHBRIDGE HERALD
Charges are pending against a Minnesota truck driver who allegedly tried to make a U-turn in the middle of a foggy southern Alberta highway early Tuesday morning, killing another driver.
A 57-year-old man from Champion died after his Pontiac Montana minivan slammed into the rear-end of a north-bound semi-tractor trailer that had pulled to the side of Highway 23 near Nobleford and had started to turn around.
Picture Butte RCMP didn't release the name of the deceased Tuesday, but Sgt. Rick Dewsbery said police were consulting with the Crown prosecutor's office to decide whether to lay charges against the 48-year-old truck driver from Nevis, Minnesota. He was not hurt in the crash.
