Loved the music but did it have to be so loud? Print E-mail

Re: Canada Day festivities.
I attended the party at Henderson Park for the first time ever and thoroughly enjoyed the Global Drums performance. I was disappointed that I had missed their Taiko drum performance earlier in the afternoon. Many other people had come expecting to hear the Taiko drums but Global Drums’ earlier performance was not on the Canada Day schedule on the city's website so many missed that.
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but does the sound have to be that loud? My ears were ringing for hours after I left. Now think of the damage done to the ears of the infants, children and dogs that were there.  Do we really need the next generation going deaf before they finish school? That being said, Southern Flyer has good songs but they don't need to shake the ground.
