BARE SHIN BONE
ANNIE BARE SHIN BONE, beloved wife of the late John Bare Shin Bone, passed away peacefully at the Cardston Hospital, on Saturday June 20, 2009 at the age of 92 years.
Funeral Arrangements to be announced when completed.


BRUISED HEAD
CHESTER BRUISED HEAD, beloved father, passed away at the Foothills Hospital, in Calgary, on Saturday June 20, 2009 after a lengthy illness at the age of 79 years.
Funeral Arrangements to be announced when completed.


CHUTSKOFF
MR. JOHN "LITTLE JOHN" CHUTSKOFF
August 31, 1921 – June 21, 2009
John was born a twin on August 31, 1921 at Runnymede, Saskatchewan. He was raised on a farm, and took up farming until he decided to venture out into the great unknown. He and his twin brother started a hardware store in Humboldt and Quill Lake, Saskatchewan. Years later he went to work for Simpson Sears and held a lot of posts as manager in many cities in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. His last store was Penticton, from where he retired. He later moved to Lethbridge to be closer to family.
John is survived by his wife Nellie, of 68 years, as well as two sons and two daughters.
He had a very full life.
A private family interment service will take place in Saskatchewan at a later date.
The family wishes to thank everyone who took great and loving care of John.

EWING
MR. THOMAS ANDREW EWING of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Dorothy Ewing, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the age of 94 years, surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born in Lethbridge on October 18, 1914, and in his early years in Southern Alberta, he helped on the farm haying, threshing, breaking horses, and driving the school van. On April 12, 1937 he married Dorothy Sheran in Lethbridge. Tom farmed the Sheran Ranch in West Lethbridge until 1951, he then moved west of Fort Macleod, where he continued ranching. In 1953 he moved back to Lethbridge and purchased the Foremost Transport, which he carried on as Ewing Transport, eventually hauling grain for Southern Alberta farmers. Due to ill health, he retired in 1969. Tom never lost his interest in farming and drove each year to check the progress of the area crops. He lived in his own home until 2004, and his beloved vegetable garden was the pride of the neighborhood. In 2004 he moved to Garden View Lodge, and at the time of his passing resided at Columbia Assisted Living.
Tom had a reputation for, and always enjoyed helping friends and relatives in times of need. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a dedicated caregiver to Dorothy from the time of her stroke in 1995 until she passed away in 2005.
Besides his loving wife of 68 years, Dorothy, Tom was predeceased by 2 infant daughters; his mother Monica; step-mother Elizabeth; father Frederick; brother William; sisters May Sprinkle and Evelyn Kenney; son-in-law Darryl Stuckey; and grand son-in-law Lorry Simms.
Tom is survived by his daughters Sheran (Fred) Leverick, Linda (Doug) Aspeslet; sons Jim (Melody) Ewing and Barry Ewing; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; special cousin and friends Dr. Alvin (Phyl) McKenzie.
Family and friends may pay their respects between 7:00pm and 9:00pm, on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 St., S., Lethbridge, AB.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Friday, June 26, 2009, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 St., S., Lethbridge, AB, with Reverend Larry D. Hankinson, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Stars Foundation Lethbridge Office, 416 – 10 Street, North, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1H 2C7, or to a charity of one’s choice.

RYAN
MR. EDWARD "ED" RYAN of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Sheila Ryan, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at the age of 76 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Brian Magee, officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.

VANDERVALK, Jennie
Jennie Valdervalk age 93 years of Claresholm, Alberta went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 21, 2009. She is survived by her son Jack (Merry) Vandervalk of Claresholm, two daughters, Jessiann Bosch of Lethbridge and Marie (Bill) Poelman of Turner Valley, and 11 grandchildren – Carol (Mehrban) Chawla, Gerald (Patricia) Vandervalk, Teresa (John) Graff, Joy (Leon) Johnston, John (Shauna) Bosch, Lloyd (Kerry) Bosch, Cheryl (Hugh) Vandersteen, Gordon (Lori) Poelman, Lynel (Tom) Barrow, Corene (Bryan) Stewart, Susan (Marlen) Buitelaar and 32 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Archie (Hilda) Nauta of High River and Roy Nauta of Claresholm, two sisters Hilda (John) Withage of Lethbridge and Clara (Klaas) Veenland of Granum and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years George in 1999, her sister Annie Nauta in 2008 and a son-in-law Lucas Bosch in 2008. The Funeral Service will be held at the Granum Christian Reformed Church, Granum, Alberta on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Cameron Fraser, and Pastor Brian Kuyper officiating. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Granum Christian Reformed Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to CRWRC (Christian Reformed Relief Committee), 347 Main Way, Box 5070 Stn LCD 1, Burlington, ON. L7R 3Y8, or a charity of your choice.
