BEATTIE HELEN ROSE BEATTIE of Lethbridge, Born January 27, 1935 in Daysland, Alberta, passed away December 23, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Helen is survived by her three children; Lesley Grubel, Bill (Daune), Rudy (Esther); 2 grandchildren Derek and Jack. Helen is also survived by her partner Al Hopp and his children Greg and Jody; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her late husband William (Bill) Beattie in 1991. Helen was one of sixteen children, and was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Helen will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. HENINGER JOY HENINGER, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in Magrath on December 26, 2008. Joy is the loving mother of Val Isaacson (deceased), Nicole Mellis of Cardston, Bob (deceased) Teckla Heninger of Cardston, Art (Donna) Heninger of Cardston, Grant (Liddy) Heninger of Edson, Lawrence (Barbara) Heninger of Salt Lake City, Darrell (Leona) Heninger of Creston, B.C. and Joanne Dever of Magrath. Joy has 53 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. Joy was born on September 19, 1919 in Raymond, Alberta and married Bill Heninger in 1950. They raised a family on a farm in the Foremost/Warner area until moving to Magrath in 1972. An extremely competent and hard worker she was an excellent cook, seamstress and gardener. She loved painting ceramics and listening to classical music. She was an exceptional scriptorian and spent many years as Relief Society president and Gospel Doctrine teacher for the LDS Church. She was quick to help her neighbors and loved all that was beautiful in the world of nature. She loved her grandkids and those around her. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Garden Place Chapel, Magrath, Alberta with Bishop Richard Blumell officiatiing. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10:00-10:45am. Interment in the Magrath Cemetery. Shirley Tudor 1936 - 2008 It is with great sadness that the families of Shirley Jean Tudor share in the heart breaking loss of their dear mother. On Friday, December 26, 2008, mom lost her courageous battle with cancer at the age of 72 years. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her four children and her daughter-in-law. To love and cherish her memory are her children, Kathy (Dale) Setoguchi of Taber, Gordon (Terry) Tudor of Coaldale, Susan Bergen and Nancy Tudor both of Taber. She will be fondly remembered by her nine grandchildren, Dione & Devin Setoguchi; Brad & Ryan Tudor; Joe Bergen & Kristi (Dan) Desjardins; Rob Larsen, Stacey (Nigel) Harris & Joni Larsen as well as three precious grandchildren, Paka & Teya Harris and Ally Desjardins. She is also survived by her sisters, Alice (Bruce) Colwill of Ottawa, Trudy Newinger of Lethbridge, Rose (Lloyd) Munro-Graham of Vulcan, Cecilia Minion of Warner; brother-in-law Marvin Christensen of Taber and by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis Tudor in 1996; her parents John & Frida Bachman; her sister & best friend Louise Christensen in 2001 and by three brothers-in-law, Mervin Newinger, Evan Munro and Lee Minion. Shirley was born in Lethbridge on June 22, 1936. She was the fifth of six girls born to John & Frida Bachman of Warner. Shiley’s pride and joy was the love between her and her family. She enjoyed endless hours creating the special memories that we all hold so dear. She was an amazing cook & baker and was known for the best tasting dill pickles in all of Alberta. Shirley loved to work in her garden and raspberry patch preparing jars filled with all of her delicious preservatives for family and friends to enjoy. She loved life and kept busy with her many hobbies including jigsaw puzzling, knitting or crocheting various items for her family and friends, and she had a strong faith in God. Shirley loved sports and enjoyed curling and bowling for many years. As she got older, nothing gave her more enjoyment than watching her children and grandchildren play soccer or baseball. She loved the game of hockey and spent countless hours traveling to support and watch her grandchildren. Shirley had a special love for children throughout her life and shared this for nearly fifty years, working as a school bus driver in the Wrentham and Taber school districts. For over twenty years, she worked as an avon lady who enjoyed selling the products and visiting with the numerous customers who often became good friends with her. Shirley was involved with many service clubs in Taber and enjoyed her volunteer work with the Taber Senior Centre. She was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, especially the four children that she sponsored through World Vision for a number of years. Shirley was a special person who touched each one of us in her own special way. The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber, today, Monday, December 29, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Gary Noble of the Taber Church of Christ officiating. VISSER JIM VISSER, long time resident of Fort Macleod, passed away on December 21, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Jim is survived by his wife Corrie; son Brian (Lani), and two grandchildren Emmerson and Kenny. Jim is also survived by his 3 brothers Rens, Peter, and Ted, and his sister Renska and their respective family’s. Jim will be remembered as a hard working family man who spent most of his life working in the road construction field until his retirement. WOLODCHENKO CANDACE CRYSTAL WOLODCHENKO beloved daughter of Ron and Ingrid, sister to Nicole and aunt to Kashton, of Shaughnessy, Alberta, passed away suddenly on December 24, 2008 at the age of 17 years. Besides her parents, sister and nephew, Candace is survived by her oma and opa Selma and Willy Mohrmann of Shaughnessy, grandma Helen Wolodchenko of Red Cliff, aunts and uncles; Ursula Jacklin (Glen) of Wyndell, BC, Walter (Joanne) Mohrmann of Coalhurst, Erika Kirsch (Bill) of Lethbridge, Rudy Mohrmann of Shaughnessy, Monika Mohrmann of Shaughnessy, Mike (Amy) Mohrmann of Shaughnessy, special uncle “Onkel” Leo Kirsch and Reinhold Kirsch of Shaughnessy, Marlene (Larry) Payton of Elkford, BC and Shirl Black (Chuck) of Medicine Hat. She is survived by numerous cousins; Sam, Kim, Shane (Elaina), Shantel (Chris) and their daughter Emily, Scott, “special little brother” Austin, Nicholas, Cohen, Ty (Barb) Payton and their children Justin and Tawney, Dana (Brett) Yount and Stephan (Jolene) Black. Candace is also survived by numerous great aunts, uncles, boyfriend Santos, special friends Amanda, Cody and Jerome as well as a special furry friend Jazzy. Candace was predeceased by her grandpa Steven Wolodchenko. Candace was born in Lethbridge July 28, 1991 and was currently attending her senior year and would be graduating in June of 2009. Candace will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Service will be held at CHRIST TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 416- 12 Street South, Lethbridge on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Peter Lurvey officiating. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
