Arts centre consultants an unnecessary cost |

I find it hard to accept the fact that the city is yet again paying thousands of dollars for yet more consultants for an arts centre in this city. And, these ones are from the U.S. . . . all three of them! Why are they not consulting people who built the multi-faceted arts facilities in Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, St. Albert and Calgary? Why don’t they save money and consult the architects who built these facilities, making adjustments for space and need in Lethbridge? This expense is an unnecessary one and the money could certainly be put to better use locally, such as increasing the pittance that NOKA (No-Kill Alliance) receives annually to help out with the epidemic proportion of cats that are in need of altering and veterinary care in general. I certainly do not dispute the fact that the arts per se are a vital component of a community; however, the amount of money that has been spent and will continue to be spend is laughable . . . from a hysterical point that is.
