A suspect in a fatal shooting in Calgary last summer was arrested Wednesday night at a mobile home park in West Lethbridge. Officers from the Lethbridge regional police tactical team, major crimes and K9 units arrested the unnamed man without incident just before 9 p.m. at a home in the Westside Trailer Court in the 2700 block of Westside Drive West. Local officers were assisting Calgary homicide detectives. “Knowing what we suspected he was involved with, we took all precautions,” said Emma Poole, spokesperson for Calgary police. Following his arrest, the unnamed suspect was transported to Calgary where he was questioned Thursday by members of the Calgary police homicide unit. At press time, no charges had been laid, and Calgary police had released no details about the man or any possible connections he has in Lethbridge. He was arrested in connection with the death of Efrem Kuflom who was fatally shot Aug. 18 while in his car in downtown Calgary. A convicted cocaine dealer, Kuflom was under house arrest at the time.
