A 41-year-old Lethbridge woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision Sunday near Brooks.
The woman died instantly, according to Brooks RCMP, when her westbound Jeep Grand Cherokee was struck by a semi-trailer heading north along Highway 36, about 11 kilometres west of Brooks. At press time, her name had not been released.
The mother of two was the lone occupant of the Jeep which, according to police, failed to stop at a stop sign before proceeding across the highway from a secondary road.
The driver of the truck, a 30-year-old Brooks man, was treated for minor injuries at Brooks hospital and released.
Alcohol and weather conditions have been ruled out as factors in the crash.
