Welcome to the Enmax Centre. And don’t even think about trying to get cozy. As the ’Canes seek to build on their 5-9-2-0 record following a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors Sunday, they will hope to make the Thunderbirds stay as unpleasant as possible. That means driving that point home as early as possible. “We have to come out hard, especially against a team like Seattle,” said defenceman Brennan Yadlowski. “They’ve been on a long road trip and we have come out at them hard in our own barn.” That wasn’t the case early in Sunday’s game when the Hurricanes allowed the Warriors to come in, kick up their heels on the coffee table and get comfy before the Hurricanes got cranky and punted the visitors out the door with three third-period goals. Now the challenge lies in getting the game legs back early after a five-day layoff. Not that there’s anything wrong with a thrilling comeback win, but ask any player or coach and they’d likely tell you they’d rather have the lead and stick with it. “We want to come back and win all the time,” said defenceman Eric Mestery. “But I think preparation is a big thing, just like what Rich Preston has been preaching to us all year. We just need to prepare.” “It’s crucial to get a character win like that,“ said Yadlowski. “It’s easy to win those games when you’re up, but to come back it’s always good to get a win like that early in the season.”
