Stephen Harper’s proroguing of Parliament continues to cause criticism. We’ve heard the phrase “naked self-interest” from the UK’s The Economist. His former chief of staff, Tom Flanagan, said Harper’s reasons for prorogation “don’t have much credibility.”

This is in response to a Roast submitted regarding the Royal Canadian Legion, General Stewart Branch No. 4.

Safety is not a word used by council when the cash register bell is going off from the photo radar tickets being generated at school yards/playgrounds.
As for the sound issue, Mr. Hawkins, your argument is full of bunk. You expect the rumble strips to be a noise problem. Where is your research stating your answer? Please reveal your information before making an outlandish hypothesis.

The doors of our Parliament in Ottawa are locked, citizen’s voices are muted, democracy is at a standstill.
Prime Minister Harper’s actions of proroguing the Parliament twice reflects his belief system that:
1. Canadians are ignorant and gullible. He won the 2008 election without any platform, denial of environmental and economic realities, and twisting then-Liberal leader Stephane Dion’s policies.
