The Globe and Mail had an article Feb. 4 about animal cruelty laws in Switzerland that includes birds, fish and guinea pigs. Neglect is punishable by law.

Richard Littlemore (“Climate change skeptics in denial,” Feb. 5 Herald) would do well to remember that not everyone who disagrees with him is silly or in denial.
He proposes three questions — all specious — for those who dare to question the “settled science” of climate change and its causes, claiming to have never met anyone who has passed his test.

It seems Don Ward (Feb. 7 Letter to the Editor) has awakened from a long sleep for the Alberta Advantage has been eroding ever since Ralph’s World became reality and Eddie is more of the same top-down, arrogant style of government whose policies have eroded health care and education.
