The skies threatened the Picture Butte area early but by the time the 50-entry Jamboree Days Parade had finished, floats were gliding back to the assembly yard, leaving candy-scavenging kids smiling and adults clapping.

A Coaldale teenager is in hot water after lying to police about being attacked. The tale she told garnered the girl a mischief charge, since her claims wasted the time of numerous officers — including a canine unit — who went in search of a phantom assailant.
